The panel discussion of Y4TH 2025 highlights a thought-provoking 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 in the LGUs and Private Sector, featuring 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐚 of 𝐒𝐌𝐗 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐨 from 𝐋𝐆𝐔-𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

Mr. Albana features the 10 key initiatives that SMX Convention Center implemented to promote sustainability, such as energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, sustainable procurement, green certifications, community engagement, sustainable transportation, awareness campaign, health and well-being, and feedback mechanism. He mentioned that by integrating these practices, SMX Convention Center aims to minimize environmental impacts, promote social responsibility, and enhance the overall experience of event organizers, exhibitors, clients, and guests.

On the other hand, Mr. Balsamo highlights the need for communication and involvement of every stakeholder and to answer their question of what benefit can be stemmed from it, as well as how the LGU's role is crucial to stabilize this integration. He brought into light the importance of learning the language of different stakeholders including tricycle drivers and street sweepers. To quote his words, "Ang kayang gawin ng LGU ay i-gather 'yong stakeholders— i-share 'yong vision."
