💭In 50 years, how do you envision the UP Diliman campus? 🔮🌱

The UP Diliman Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, in partnership with the UPD College of Architecture and TANAW Lab, conducted the futures-thinking workshop “Futures Tiangge: Mga Hinaharap na Kinabukasan ng UP Diliman Campus” on May 29, 2026 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium.

In this activity, futuristic designs of the envisioned built environment of the UP Diliman campus were featured in the form of a bazaar or flea market where the architects/designers from the College of Architecture presented their outputs to invited participants from different UP constituents. The designs were based on data from ethnographic research on the experiences of precarity of members of the UP Diliman community.

Futures Tiangge aims to spark conversations on how UP Diliman can formulate actionable policies that are oriented towards a green, equitable, inclusive, and just future. Invited participants include UP and UP Diliman administrators, staff, students, and residents of UP campus.

[IN PHOTOS] In celebration of National Heritage Month 2026, the UP Asian Institute of Tourism (AIT), with the UP Diliman Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, launched “Sulyap: Buildings and Places of Interest in UP Diliman” on May 26, 2026 at the University Theater Grounds.

Sulyap is an expansion of UP AIT’s “Balik-Yapak sa Diliman”, a project under the UP Diliman Arts and Culture Festival 2024 where markers with QR codes were installed outside selected buildings along the UP Academic Oval. Scanning the QR codes brings the user to a dedicated landing page with rich historical and architectural information about the building. This year’s launch extended the coverage outside the academic oval, encompassing nearly 100 sites around the campus.

This project aims to institutionalize the heritage tours of and by UP Diliman to highlight the historical and cultural significance of UP Diliman to Quezon City and to the country.
