Hello, mga Klasmeyts! Sa darating na Lunes, Mayo 11, 2026, alas-onse ng umaga, makakasama natin ang mga may-akda ng From Root to Table: Embracing Filipino Food Heritage for Ethical Consumption.

Tatalakayin natin ang kahalagahan ng Filipino food heritage bilang salamin ng kasaysayan, pagkakakilanlan, at kultura ng bansa. Pag-uusapan din ang epekto ng marginalization ng mga katutubong pagkain dahil sa colonization, industrialization, lalo na sa biodiversity, food security, at kabuhayan ng mga local farmers and community. Bibigyang-diin din ang kahalagahan ng ethical consumption, sustainable food choices, at bayanihan sa muling pagpapalakas ng food systems bilang hakbang tungo sa mas matatag, makakalikasan, at makabayang kinabukasan.

Tatalakayin natin ang CWTS-ICE Initiative: Safety, Awareness, and Mapping for Improved Solid Waste Management and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. Pag-uusapan kung bakit humihina ang disaster awareness matapos ang initial interventions at kung paano nakatutulong ang mapping at GIS sa mas malalim na pag-unawa sa community risks. Bibigyang-diin din ang papel ng mga lokal na stakeholder at akademikong institusyon sa epektibong DRRM initiatives.
