📢 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The Philippine Social Science Council is now accepting submissions for paper abstracts, poster proposals, or panel proposals for the 12th National Social Science Congress (NSSC12) happening on 18 to 20 February 2027 at Ateneo de Naga University.

NSSC12 focuses on poverty and national development as among the Philippines’ most persistent and complex challenges, cutting across economic, social, cultural, geographical, environmental, and political dimensions. The use of the term “examine” reflects the conference’s commitment to careful, evidence-based inquiry. Rather than presupposing a settled understanding of poverty or a singular analytical framework, the theme invites systematic scrutiny of how poverty is defined, measured, experienced, and understood across diverse social contexts.

Submission is open until July 20 (abstract and poster) and August 20 (panel).
