✔️ Manatiling ligtas at magkakasama.

The UP College of Law mourns the passing of Prof. Sandra Marie Olaso-Coronel,
June 2, 1969 – November 19, 2025
Prof. Sandra Coronel, a proud member of UP Law Class of 1994, served the College and the legal community with exceptional dedication, intellect, and heart.
As a Senior Lecturer at the UP College of Law, she shaped generations of lawyers through her teaching in Criminal Law II and Criminal Procedure, known for her clarity, rigor, and the deep commitment she invested in every student she guided.
Her contributions to legal scholarship and continuing education were equally significant. Through her works published under the UP Law Center, including May It Please the Court (2020), Cyberbullying in the Context of Balancing of Rights (2020), and May It Please the Court 2: Tips for Law Enforcement (2023), she expanded the reach of legal learning far beyond the classroom.
Prof. Coronel also rendered distinguished service to the Supreme Court as a Bar Examiner in Criminal Law (2020/21)
during the first-ever digital and regional Bar Examinations, and earlier as Bar Examiner in Remedial Law (2007). Her work helped shape the future of the legal profession at critical moments in the nation’s history.
Within the UP College of Law, she will also be remembered for her meaningful efforts to strengthen the staff cooperative, advocating for the welfare and empowerment of the people who keep the College running every day.
A brilliant litigator, a devoted teacher, a steadfast public servant, and a deeply compassionate colleague, Prof. Sandra Marie Olaso-Coronel leaves a legacy of excellence and service that will endure in Malcolm Hall and far beyond.
We honor her life, her work, and her unwavering commitment to justice and education. May she rest in peace.
