Pharmacists are an essential part of healthcare—from helping patients use medicines appropriately and providing trusted medicines information to supporting prevention, improving access to care, and contributing to stronger health systems.

With every argument delivered with conviction, every point backed by knowledge, and every response met with composure, Pharmarealm proved that a strong voice is built not only on what one knows, but on the ability to think critically, work together, and stand firmly for what one believes.

Three consecutive victories are more than a winning streak—they represent the consistency, preparation, teamwork, and determination that have defined Pharmarealm throughout the years. Their achievement adds another chapter to a legacy built on excellence, proving that when knowledge meets confidence and collaboration, every challenge becomes an opportunity to rise.

The jackpot round begins and that means, every Pharmate is watching closely. 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬 and 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐮𝐬 just pushed through the finale. ⏰✨

With the clock moving along with them, the buzzer beat both the 2nd and 4th year pharmacy students to the remaining categories of Liquid Dosage Forms and Chromatography. However, reaching this point of the game under that kind of pressure is still an impressive play! Because the final round was a tie, the criteria for winning was based on the previous elimination round. Hence, the 4th year representatives who got 5 words correct in the earlier round clinched the awaited win during the whole Pinoy Henyo game!

How can one Pharmacy degree lead to different paths? For Mr. Geronimo, RPh, Municipal Pharmacist of Santa Maria, Bulacan.

As a pharmacy student, Mr. Geronimo recalled that their batch started with only a few freshmen, with many of their classmates coming from different schools as transferees. It was during the manufacturing internship that he discovered his interest in the pharmaceutical industry. He shared how pharmacists and other professionals work with raw materials, from receiving and inspecting materials to weighing, preparing, testing, and ensuring that they meet the required quality standards before being used in production. His professional journey continued as a Dispensing Specialist at Pascual, where he gained experience in dispensing and pharmaceutical services, before moving to Unilab as a Quality Control Analyst.

Today, his career has taken him into community and public healthcare as a Municipal Pharmacist. Unlike his previous roles, his work now allows him to interact with a wider range of healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, doctors, medical technologists, and barangay health workers, as well as members of the local government.

Through his experiences, Mr. Geronimo emphasized that pharmacists can move across different practice settings and that one's career does not have to remain within a single field. He highlighted the importance of recognizing the realities faced by marginalized communities, particularly when access to medicines and healthcare can be limited. For him, healthcare should always remain a priority, and serving the community means understanding the people and circumstances behind every healthcare need.

His journey serves as a reminder that a career in pharmacy is not defined by a single title or workplace. There are many paths to take, and each experience can shape how we understand our role as future healthcare professionals. As he shared, “A title tells people what you do; it doesn’t tell them who you are.” 💜💊

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝘞𝘗𝘋 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘴 💊✨

What does it take to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry? For Mrs. Mary Lou Pangilinan-Cabalbag, RPh, the answer lies in being open to opportunities, standing by your values, and allowing your career to evolve.

After passing the Pharmacy Licensure Examination in 2018, she began her career in manufacturing in Bulacan. While the experience gave her valuable exposure, she eventually realized that manufacturing was not the path she wanted to pursue. This led her to explore regulatory affairs, a field she initially knew very little about.

From there, her career continued to grow across different areas of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory affairs, consulting, pharmacovigilance, post-marketing surveillance, FDA liaison work, and product management. Each role brought new responsibilities and challenges, from coordinating with the FDA and handling consumer complaints to reviewing documents, ensuring compliance, and communicating with different departments and company leaders.

In a corporate environment where business and sales are major priorities, pharmacists must still stand by their professional oath and ensure that decisions remain aligned with safety, compliance, and what is right for the patient. She reminded us, is not simply about following rules. It is about making sound decisions when the answer is not always obvious.

Even with opportunities to work in Australia and establish her own pharmacy, she chose to continue pursuing the path that felt more aligned with her purpose. Her journey continues to evolve, proving that success does not have one definition, and your destination does not have to look like someone else’s.

As she shared, “Your Pharmacy degree is a foundation, not a limitation.” 💜💊

A reminder for every aspiring pharmacist: do not compare your journey with others. Keep moving forward, carry your lessons with you, and allow each chapter to shape the professional you are becoming. 🌟

What does it mean to be a pharmacist in today’s world? For Micaella S. Bonaobra, RPh, PharmD, the journey was far from the path she originally planned.

A graduate of Batch 2020, she entered a world filled with uncertainty as the pandemic disrupted the plans of an entire graduating batch. Her original goal was to take the Pharmacy Licensure Examination in December 2020, but after several postponements, she eventually took the exam in July 2021 and earned her license. A journey that was supposed to take months became a year-long process of waiting, reviewing, and persevering. But becoming a licensed pharmacist was only the beginning.

With plans of pursuing Medicine, she explored different opportunities and even took the NMAT. However, a series of unexpected experiences eventually led her to take a leap of faith and pursue a PharmD program. That decision opened her eyes to the many possibilities within Pharmacy—from clinical practice and research to making informed decisions that directly contribute to patient care.

Her experience with the University of Illinois Chicago further expanded her perspective on the profession, showing her that pharmacists are not simply involved in dispensing medications. They can participate in clinical decision-making, research, antimicrobial stewardship, and ensuring that medications are safe, effective, and appropriate for patients.

From a disrupted plan to a career she learned to appreciate even more, her story reminds us that sometimes, we can plan the destination, but we cannot control the journey. And sometimes, the unexpected path leads us exactly where we are meant to be. 💜

A meaningful reminder for every aspiring pharmacist: your journey may change, but every experience can become part of the purpose you eventually find in Pharmacy. 🌟💊

The Pinoy Henyo game will put our first, second, third, and fourth year students’ teamwork to the test! Since no one got lucky during the first elimination round, the pharmacy students immediately proceeded to the second elimination round. 🧩

First up are 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, who brought their biggest energy. Within the 2 minute timer, today wasn’t a fortunate day for them to guess five words from the PPE category. 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬 then brought their own chemistry. With the cheers of the crowd, they smoothly finished the round with 4 out of 5 guessed words, getting “Methyl Red,” “Methyl Orange,” “Phenolphthalein,” and “Thymol Blue,” right from the QC indicators category.

Following right behind are 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐦! They gave everything they had with their wit and cooperation, however they failed to score a word out of the Cardiovascular drugs category. Last but not the least, the 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐮𝐬 are here! Because of their teamwork, they figured out the Narcotics/Dangerous drugs category, correctly answering “Enalapril,” “Amlodipine,” “Verapamil,” “Losartan,” and “Clonidine.”

With that record, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬 and 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐮𝐬 earned their spot to the jackpot round! 🎉🧠

The debate stage is heating up as Batch Pharmarealm takes the Opposition side against Batch Caduceus as the Government! 🔥

Batch Caduceus, representing the Government, argued that the prescriber carries the primary responsibility for providing complete and appropriate directions based on the patient’s assessment. They emphasized that pharmacists should not guess or create instructions that were not provided by the prescriber. However, pharmacists still have a role in identifying unclear prescriptions and seeking clarification when necessary.

Meanwhile, Batch Pharmarealm, standing with the Opposition, highlighted the pharmacist’s role as the last safety checkpoint before the medication reaches the patient. They argued that “take as directed” can leave important details unclear, such as dosage, timing, duration, and proper administration. They emphasized that pharmacists must be proactive in counseling patients, clarifying concerns, and communicating with prescribers when further information is needed.

As the arguments went back and forth, one point became clear: safe medication use relies on effective communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals. From the prescriber’s instructions to the pharmacist’s final check and patient counseling, every step matters. 💊

With sharp arguments, quick rebuttals, and plenty of “paano kung?” moments, both batches brought their Pharmacy knowledge and critical thinking to the floor! 🎤🔥

The stage is on fire as Team Caduceus and Team Aegis throw points and counterpoints, determined to claim this round as their own. ✨Sparks fly as every argument builds intensity, keeping the audience at the edge of their seats.

With the question “Mas umaasa ang mga pharmacy students sa kape kaysa sa tamang pahina para makayanan ang academic workload,” both teams are pulling out their sharpest reasoning and most persuasive words to prove their dominance.

“We pharmacy students, we know gaano kabigat ang ating workload... that's why mahirap talaga piliin ang pahinga” —Aegis

“Aabot ba tayo sa 4 or 5 years without having efficient study habits?” —Caduceus

“hindi naman umaasa, but in moderation lang” —Aegis

“ ‘Pano yun hindi ko alam magtime management, i don't believe that…’ coffee is not necessary and not a necessity. You know yourself, so try to do better.” —Caduceus

Every rebuttal is a strike, every defense a shield. This is indeed a battle of wit, logic, and conviction. 🫯
