𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 | 𝘌𝘟𝘗𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘓𝘋 𝘖𝘍 𝘗𝘏𝘈𝘙𝘔𝘈𝘊𝘠

✨𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦.

As part of the Student Immersion Program, students from the Philippine Science High School System spent the week discovering different areas of the pharmacy profession through hands-on laboratory activities and practical applications.

The immersion began with the extraction of 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢 (𝑽𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒙 𝒏𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒐) and its 𝒑𝒉𝒚𝒕𝒐𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈, where students explored the science behind medicinal plants under the guidance of 𝗠𝘀. 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗕. 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮, 𝗥𝗣𝗵. Through two days of experimentation, they gained a deeper appreciation for pharmaceutical research and the process of identifying bioactive compounds from natural sources.

On the third day, the students shifted from research to formulation as 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗜. 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼, 𝗥𝗣𝗵, 𝗠𝗦𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺 introduced them to the preparation of 𝒂𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒉𝒐𝒍 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒓 and 𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒌. The activity highlighted the diverse applications of pharmacy, showcasing how science is transformed into products that promote both health and well-being.

Beyond the laboratory, the immersion was made even more meaningful through the support of our dedicated student volunteers, who assisted the professors and guided the students throughout each activity. Their efforts helped create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment for everyone involved.

As the first week comes to a close, we hope this experience has inspired our visiting students to continue exploring the endless possibilities within healthcare, research, and pharmaceutical sciences. 💜

𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧! 🇵🇭

Today is the 128th anniversary since the declaration of the Philippines’ independence from Spain. It happened on the same day, June 12, 1898, when Emilio Aguinaldo formally declared our country’s independence in Kawit, Cavite, where the Philippine flag was raised. This history was made possible due to the contributions of many heroes and movements that became the reflection of Filipino struggles and courage.

As Filipinos, it is time that we take pride in our nation through our culture, helping our locals, and becoming educated. Our independence is not just about freeing ourselves from our past but going forward into a future where everyone can have the rights and dignity they rightfully deserve.

What better way to explore the world of Pharmacy than through a little friendly competition? 🧠

As part of the 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦, students from various PSHS campuses gathered at Room 513 for an exciting round of Pharmacy Feud—a game that combined fun, teamwork, and pharmacy knowledge all in one event.

Filled with laughter, quick thinking, and healthy competition, the activity introduced the students to the dynamic field of pharmacy while allowing them to work together and learn in an engaging environment.

🏆 Congratulations to 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗔: 𝗛𝘂𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗽 for emerging victorious against 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗕: 𝗞𝗞𝗞! Their teamwork and enthusiasm earned them exciting prizes to cap off their first day of immersion. More than just a game, Pharmacy Feud served as an opportunity to discover the many facets of the pharmacy profession and experience firsthand the vibrant community that awaits future healthcare professionals.

Adding to this remarkable achievement, the MMHRDC Organizing Committee has officially selected their study as the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐍𝐂𝐑) entry to the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐮𝐦 (𝐏𝐍𝐇𝐑𝐃𝐂), where they will represent the region at the national level this August 2026.

May this milestone inspire future researchers and fellow Pharmates to ask questions, challenge boundaries, and create solutions that contribute to the advancement of healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.

This June, we honor the vibrant spectrum of identities, stories, and experiences that make our community stronger and more compassionate.

Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, courage, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. It reminds us that every person deserves to be respected, accepted, and empowered to live as their truest self.

𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐋𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬

Different student bodies and volunteers from FEU - NRMF (Pharmacy, MLS, Nursing, & Medicine) participated in an in-kind food donation drive for our Jeepney drivers along Fairview-Dahlia. This initiative is fueled by compassion and empathy to our tsuper heroes, who are constantly fighting the system implemented due to constant price hike, oil crisis, and transportation strikes. We reached our hands to them, and give them consumable resources that can lighten the weight that they carry on their backs and pockets even for just a moment. In today’s time, it is important that we value the lives of each other in this community and open your arms to whoever needs it.

We are proud to share the success of our recent community outreach in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Manresa. In collaboration with the Office of Community Engagement (OCE), our 4th-year pharmacy students and alumni took an active role in providing safe medication dispensing and patient counseling during the Free Operation Tuli (Circumcision Program) held last May 2, 2026, at the Barangay Manresa Multi-purpose Hall.

Aside from their clinical tasks, the team focused on patient reassurance and education, ensuring that each young male beneficiary received the care and attention they deserved. This mission served as a vital reminder that our responsibilities as pharmacists go well beyond the pharmacy counter, we are active partners in the welfare of our community.

Thank you to everyone who lent their expertise and heart to this mission. 💜
