BOOK LAUNCH & THEOLOGICAL REFLECTION | Awit ng Nazaret
The Loyola School of Theology warmly invites everyone to the launch of Awit ng Nazaret, a beautiful collection of spiritual meditations by Br. Bernard Jagueneau, edited by Fr. Albert Alejo, SJ. The event will also feature a reflection on the life and vocation of religious men and women together with the Little Brothers and Sisters of Jesus.
Fr. Bernard Jagueneau was a French missionary and a member of the Little Brothers of Jesus, the religious community inspired by St. Charles de Foucauld. After serving in Vietnam for 15 years, he came to the Philippines in 1977. While working alongside ordinary laborers in Manila factories, he wrote this series of spiritual meditations on the hidden life of Jesus in Nazarethโoriginally composed in poetic Tagalog.
His writings remind us that holiness is not found only in extraordinary moments, but also in the quiet rhythm of daily life. Like Jesus in Nazareth, our ordinary work, hidden sacrifices, and simple acts of love can become places of profound encounter with God.
