A strong 7.8-magnitude earthquake recently affected communities across Southern Mindanao, including General Santos City, Sarangani, Davao City, and nearby areas. In response, a donation drive is being organized to provide immediate relief such as food, water, tents, and other essential supplies.
We are also calling on all ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ to volunteer in the first day of relief goods repacking today, 12:00 NN onwards, at the Student Union Building.

Yesterday, June 8, 2026, UP Diliman students and NSRC reservists gathered for an engaging and informative fire safety and preparedness training under the SANAY Series, organized by the NSRC Diliman in partnership with the Krus Na Ligas Fire Sub-Station of Quezon City Fire Department.
The training equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills on fire prevention, emergency response, and preparedness, reinforcing the importance of safety awareness and community resilience.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs, the UP Diliman Public Safety and Security Office, and the College of Architecture for their invaluable support in making this activity possible.

Hosted by Asst. Prof. Arnulf Roan M. Pita, the NSTP Graduation Ceremony of the UP Diliman Extension Programs in Pampanga and Olongapo brought together graduates and faculty members in a celebration of service, leadership, and civic engagement. The program opened with remarks from Dr. Patrick C. De Leon, Director of UPDEPPO, followed by an inspirational message from Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, President and CEO of the Clark Development Corporation.
The ceremony also featured the recognition of NSTP graduates and partner individuals and organizations who contributed to the success of various community initiatives. Asst. Prof. Olivia Alma G. Sicam, Director of the NSTP Diliman Office, delivered a message to the graduates before the oath taking of new members of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC). The program further highlighted the recognition of outstanding UPDEPP NSTP initiatives, celebrating exemplary projects and contributions to community development. The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Eden H. Terol, NSTP Coordinator of UPDEPP, marking the graduatesโ transition from NSTP students to active advocates of volunteerism and public service.

Creativity and community engagement came together as NSTP graduates of the College of Fine Arts celebrated the culmination of their service-learning journey. The program opened with remarks from Prof. Abdulmari DL. Imao, Jr., Dean of the College of Fine Arts, setting the tone for a meaningful recognition of the studentsโ accomplishments.
The ceremony featured the presentation of NSTP projects, highlighting the graduatesโ collaborative work with partner communities. Adding to the celebration was a special performance by the Fine Arts Vocal Ensemble, followed by an inspirational message from Asst. Prof. Olivia Alma G. Sicam, Director of the NSTP Diliman Office. The NSTP graduation ceremony of the College of Architecture served as a fitting culmination of the studentsโ journey in community service and civic engagement. The program began with opening remarks from Asst. Prof. Olivia Alma G. Sicam, Director of the NSTP Diliman Office, and featured an inspirational message from Arch. Carla Santos.
Graduates also received a message on volunteerism from Mr. Anthony Bagano of the NSTP Diliman Office and heard reflections from graduate representative Arfelle Romaria Pervera. The ceremony was highlighted by the oath taking of new members of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC), reaffirming their commitment to service beyond the university. The event concluded with closing remarks from Asst. Prof. Lawrence F. Intalan, NSTP Coordinator of the College of Architecture.

A highlight of the program was the recognition of the recipients of the Best Community Engagement Project Implementation Award, honoring the top three NSTP projects for their impact and dedication to community development. The ceremony also featured the presentation of NSTP graduates and the oath taking and pinning of NSRC pins, symbolizing the graduatesโ continued commitment to volunteerism and public service. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Joanne Bantang, Dean of the College of Home Economics.

A celebration of learning, service, and civic engagement marked the NSTP graduation ceremony of the UP College of Media and Communication. Hosted by Jean Agatha Uvero and Paul Ashley Gesmundo, the event commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Ma. Diosa D. Labiste, Dean of UP CMC, followed by a message for the graduates from Asst. Prof. Joan Hope Elgincolin, Deputy Director for NSRC of the NSTP Diliman Office.
The program featured an inspirational message from Assoc. Prof. Ma. Aurora Lo**ta D. Liwag-Lomibao, Founder and Executive Director of Akap BayiAn and Associate Professor at UP CMC, whose introduction was delivered by Asst. Prof. Michelle Anne N. Sto. Tomas. Graduating students were also represented through a message from Elijah Zacarias Eugenio, reflecting on their NSTP experience and journey of service.
Another significant part of the ceremony was the introduction to the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) by Prof. Josefina Santos, former Deputy Director for NSRC of the NSTP Diliman Office. This was followed by the oath taking of new NSRC members. The program concluded with closing remarks from Asst. Prof. Daniel Renz Roc, NSTP Coordinator of UP CMC.

The NSTP Diliman Office invites all UP Diliman students, especially NSRC Reservists, to join NSRC SANAY 1: Beat the Heat 2.0 โ Fire Safety and Preparedness Training on:
Date: 8 June 2026 (Monday)
Time: 8:30 AM โ 12:00 NN
Venue (Tentative): Museum of Filipino Architecture (Lecture Session) and UP Diliman Police Basketball Court/Open Grounds (Practical Exercises)
This training workshop will be facilitated by personnel from the Quezon City Fire Department โ Krus Na Ligas Substation, who will provide participants with essential knowledge and practical skills on fire safety, emergency preparedness, and basic response procedures.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about fire prevention, proper emergency response, and hands-on safety practices that can be applied in both everyday situations and disaster scenarios.
This activity is open to all UP Diliman students. NSRC Reservists are highly encouraged to participate as part of their continuing skills development and commitment to community service.
