SFHS Alumni Reunion Update – IT’S HAPPENING! 🎉

Great news, Kikonians! The long wait is over — the SFHS Alumni Reunion is officially PUSHING THROUGH tomorrow, May 2! 🙌

After all the uncertainty, we’re excited to confirm that the event is finally happening, and we can’t wait to see everyone there!

SOON TO BUILD DAU BUILDING IN SFHS AFTER DAU BUILDING FIRE

The school is set to build a new four storey building with 24 classrooms, big thanks to Public and Private Partnership (PPP). This development comes after the unfortunate fire that destroyed the historic DAU Building, one of the oldest structures in the school.

According to by Mac Navarro (FB Post), this new building is donated by SM North Edsa and SM Prime Holdings that will benefit over 7,000 HS students. This new building will feature modern amenities, including chairs, whiteboards, and even an elevator, to ensure the accessibility for all learners.

Navarro express gratitude to SM North Edsa for representing a strong partnership between the business sector and the community. He also thanked QC Mayor Joy Belmonte and SFHS Principal Marissa Rodriguez for their support in making this project possible.

The new building will replace the old Dau Building and is expected to greatly improve the learning environment for SFHS Students.

So that's how it is now? Blame the kids right away?
All the flaws, all the faults are immediately the fault of "THIS GENERATION"?
Well, who taught them? raised them? and ran this system?
Isn't it very the same adults who are now complaining?

NOT ALL STUDENTS ARE WEAK
Maybe you're just the one who doesn't know how to adjust.
times have changed, but your teaching style?
still stuck in the Jurassic era.

IF YOU REALLY ARE A "SECOND PARENT,"
Then you should understand the word GUIDANCE, not just PUNISHMENT.
A true parent doesn't hurt. Doesn't threaten.
A true parent knows how to listen.

DISCIPLINE IS NOT WRONG.
What is wrong: abuse, humiliation, belittling.
So don't include "TEACHER PROTECTION" kuno.
If what you really mean is a license to disrespect students.

Yes, there are disobedient kids. Lazy ones too.
But there are also lazy teachers, those with no passion, and toxic approaches.
So don't pretend you are spotless.
We're both part of the problem.

DON'T WANT ENTITLED YOUTH?
Then teach respect through RESPECT.
Hindi sa sigaw, hindi sa takot,
kundi sa malasakit, tiyaga, at konting effort na iangat ang sarili mo bilang isang educator.

LUHOD SA ASIN? NORMAL DATI?
HINDI DAPAT GANON, Trauma yon, hindi katatagan.
Resilence is facing problems without breaking others in the process.

So next time a student talks to much in class?
Maybe what they need is a more engaging approach.
Maybe they are bored, or maybe they don't see the value the way you teach or approach.
Because you yourself have lost the passion and are full of complaints.

So good luck to you too, teacher.
If you don't know how to adapt,
Then maybe you'll be the one who's irrelevant now.
NOT YOUR STUDENTS.
