🕊️ PEACE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF A BATTLE.
IT IS ALLOWING CHRIST TO REIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.
Have you ever fought a battle that no one else could see?
Everything may look fine on the outside, yet inside your mind there is fear, overthinking, worry, negativity, and endless “what ifs.”
Sometimes, the greatest battle is happening within our thoughts.
Our Wisdom for Peace of Mind session reminds us that we are in a constant battle and that our response is not to control everything, retaliate, or endlessly check and worry. Instead, we are called to “take every thought captive in obedience to Christ.”
“Take every thought captive in obedience to Christ.” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5
Guard your thoughts.
Not every thought deserves our attention or belief. We need to be intentional about what we allow to occupy our minds and anchor ourselves in what is true and life-giving.
We can also learn from the wisdom of St. John Paul II, who continually points us toward a beautiful path to peace.
🕊️ Christ Himself is our peace.
Peace begins not when life becomes perfect, but when our hearts remain rooted in Christ. ~ St. John Paul II, Holy Mass for Peace, Manila, 1981, pars. 2–3
🕊️ Let Christ's peace reign in your heart.
We find peace when we allow Christ not fear, worry, or the need to control to rule our inner life. ~ St. John Paul II, Holy Mass for Peace, Manila, 1981, par. 7
🕊️ Peace is a gift and a responsibility.
Christ gives us His peace, and calls us to share it through forgiveness, reconciliation, and love. ~ St. John Paul II, Holy Mass for Peace, Manila, 1981, pars. 6–9
👉 What thought is stealing your peace today?
Bring it to Jesus.
Guard your thoughts. Seek His truth. Take every thought captive. And let Christ have the final word. 🕊️❤️
