Qualifications
Academic Standing: Open to incoming 2nd year and 3rd year Juris Doctor (JD) students of UP Law for A.Y. 2026–2027.
Skills: Strong writing and legal research capabilities, as well as proficiency in graphic design and photo/video editing.
Competencies: Ability to manage administrative tasks alongside academic research responsibilities.

UP GLPP Releases Its Official Proceedings on “Josef v. Ursua: Implications on Family Relations and Property Rights”
Last 18 March 2026, following the issuance of the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Josef v. Ursua, the UP Gender Law and Policy Program (UP GLPP) invited legal experts, law students, and representatives from civil society organizations advocating for gender equality to take part in the discussion entitled “Josef v. Ursua: Implications on Family Relations and Property Rights” at the Malcolm Theater, Malcolm Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The forum featured a distinguished panel of speakers who examined the ruling from different legal perspectives, such as on Persons and Family Law, Property Law, Succession Law, and its impact on Marriage Equality Advocacy. The program also included an open forum after, which was well-participated by the attendees. This Proceedings synthesizes the key insights, discussions among the participants, and presentations shared by the resource persons during the event.
As part of the Program’s objectives, UP GLPP undertakes studies, research, and publications on gender issues in law and jurisprudence. Through the release of this Proceedings, the GLPP hopes to contribute to the continuing development of gender law studies and to foster deeper engagement in further research and discourse.

HAPPENING TODAY: CALSADA R.S.D. Kick-off Meeting
The University of the Philippines College of Law is hosting the formal launch of the CALSADA R.S.D. Project today at the Ambion Room, Malcolm Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The Kick-off Meeting marks the foundation of the 3-year partnership between Filipino and European legal experts, whose collective aim is to produce a long-term policy instrument that will define quality standards for graduate legal education in the Philippines, place research at the heart of legal education, support the digital transformation of law schools, and strengthen the role of law schools in Filipino society.
Spanning a period of three days, representatives from participating institutions will be formalizing the initiative’s governance structure, presenting an overview of the project, and setting out the strategic plan for its implementation.

Applications to the UP College of Law Scholarship Program are now being accepted for Academic Year 2026-2027.
For the First Semester of AY 2026-2027, a scholar may receive a full tuition and miscellaneous fees award, an internet and book allowance (set at PHP 10,000.00), and a monthly stipend for three to four months (set at PHP 10,000.00/month). Applications will be accepted from 15 June to 13 July 2026. Deadlines shall be strictly applied.
