AFPLDC Delegation Visits PAF Leadership Development Center at AETDC
The Armed Forces of the Philippines Leadership Development Center (AFPLDC), led by its Director, COL RONALD ALBERT P GENETE (GSC) PA, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Philippine Air Force Leadership Development Center (PAF LDC) at the Air Education and Training Command, Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas, from July 8 to 9, 2025.
The visit aimed to gain insights on the Philippine Air Force’s current leadership development initiatives, particularly those integrated into pre-entry training, career courses, and professional military education for both Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers.
As part of this visit, the AFPLDC team also conducted a survey across AETDC schools to gather feedback that will support the enhancement of leadership programs. The data collected will contribute to ongoing efforts to align leadership training with the demands of joint operations and to strengthen the overall mission effectiveness of the AFP.

AFPLDC conducts AFP Leadership Development Forum and AFPLDC Advisory Council Meeting
The Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), through the AFP Leadership Development Center (AFPLDC) headed by Colonel Ronald Albert P. Genete, successfully facilitated the AFP Leadership Development Forum and AFPLDC Advisory Council Meeting. The events took place on June 13, 2025, at Rizal Hall, Jacinto Building, AFPETDC, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. MGEN FRANCISCO F. LORENZO JR. PA, Commander, AFPETDC, was also present at both the forum and the meeting, where he delivered a message. Sec. Carlito G. Galvez Jr., Chairman Emeritus of the AFPLDC Advisory Council, presided over the meeting.
The leadership forum was conducted as part of the Command's efforts to enhance collaboration among leadership centers. It aimed to foster the sharing of best practices, align initiatives with strategic objectives, and strengthen leadership development programs within the AFP. Heads of Major Service Leadership Development Centers and other educational training institutions attended the forum.
Furthermore, the council meeting aimed to foster involvement and responsiveness. Participants collectively discussed and made decisions on important matters concerning the development of a core of AFP leaders for continuous professional growth. The meeting was attended by Chairman Mr. Ariel Hernandez, Mr. Jacinto Gavino, DPA, Prof. Roderick De Castro, Prof. Jennifer Santiago-Oreta, PhD, and Dir. Josephine Codilla, PhD.
Under the leadership of MGEN LORENZO, the AFPETDC proudly supports strong partnerships with stakeholders, making other related activities on leadership possible in developing military leaders of the AFP.

ASoG and AFP Initiate Collaboration for Enhanced Officer Training and Education
In a significant move to enhance the professional development of its officers, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is exploring a partnership with the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG). Led by ASoG Dean, Dr. Jennifer S. Oreta, and Maj Gen Francisco F. Lorenzo, Jr., PA, Commander of the AFP Education and Training Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), the two institutions discussed opportunities for collaboration through the development of a ladderized and customized leadership training and education tailored for the AFP.
