UST Angelicum College Senior High School, through the Social Sciences Club, continues to prove that learning goes beyond the four corners of the classroom. โจ
From the historical place, Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery, to the refreshing landscapes of the UPLB Botanical Garden, our solemn visits to San Bartolome Church and St. John the Baptist Parish Church, and the inspiring legacy found within the Rizal Shrine Calamba โ this educational tour aimed to deepen historical consciousness, cultural appreciation, and Filipino nationalism among learners.
As the final activity for this academic year, Lakbay Aral 2026 marks not just the end of a journey, but also the beginning of more meaningful experiences ahead. The UST Angelicum College Social Sciences Club will continue to create opportunities that inspire learning beyond the classroom, with even more exciting activities waiting in the future. โจ

In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power movement, the Social Science Club conducted an educational visit on February 28 to the Human Rights Violations Victims' Memorial Commission and the Bantayog ng mga Bayani to deepen their understanding of the realities of the Martial Law period under former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
At the Human Rights Violations Victims Memorial, students toured the gallery exhibits that documented cases of human rights abuses, listened to a dramatization based on real historical events, and participated in a stamping activity that encouraged reflection on the experiences of victims during the period.
The visit became more meaningful at Bantayog ng mga Bayani, where students met Martial Law survivors who personally shared their stories and explained the historical context of the exhibits. Through an open dialogue, students were given the opportunity to ask questions and later contribute their reflections through the โBuhay na Bantayog Projectโ writing activity, fortifying the importance of remembering the voices behind history.
The learning journey concluded at Quezon Memorial Circle with a visit to the Quezon Heritage House, where students explored the legacy of former President Manuel L. Quezon and Aurora Quezon, including her leadership in the Philippine National Red Cross, alongside exhibits showcasing Filipino life in the 1950s.
The experience showed the value of listening to those who lived through difficult times, reminding the youth that the lessons of the past are essential for promoting awareness, responsibility, and respect for human rights.

Members of the Social Science Club of UST Angelicum College Senior High School, together with their moderator and area coordinator, proudly participated in Day 1 of the EDSA Recall Youth Summit held at Ateneo de Manila University.
Through meaningful discussions and reflective activities, learners revisited the spirit of EDSA and deepened their understanding of democracy, collective action, and civic responsibility. The experience encouraged them to think critically about historical narratives and recognize the role of todayโs youth in safeguarding truth and freedom.
As they walked through spaces of dialogue and remembrance, Thomasians were reminded that the legacy of EDSA lives on when young people choose to listen, learn, and stand for what is right.
