The Ateneo Grade School came together in full color to celebrate the International Day of Peace last September 21. Students, teachers, and staff wore their favorite statement shirts with powerful messages of peace, hope, love, and unity.

This year’s theme, "Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day," serves as a meaningful reminder that peace isn't just about the absence of conflict. It starts in the small choices we make daily: showing respect, being kind, listening with openness, and standing up for what is right.

As we reflect on the relevance of September 21 in our history, we are reminded of how important freedom and justice are in building a peaceful society. Learning from our past empowers us to make better, wiser choices for our shared future.

Let us all be the peace we pray for.

Four players. Four qualifying spots. ALL FOUR ARE OURS! 💙

The AGS Table Tennis Varsity Team dominated the ASAPSQC Unit Meet on 20 September, with Philo Go, Karl Guanio, Titus Pachica and Caian Sanidad claiming all four qualifying spots for the QC Division Meet! 🏓🏆

And this isn’t just another tournament win—it’s another step on the road to Palarong Pambansa 2027! 👀

🥋🏆 THREE AGS MEDALISTS. THREE NATIONAL PODIUM FINISHES! 🇵🇭

AGS taekwondo jins Zane Pua and Jia Llopis, and Head Coach Roel Borjal made their mark at the National Best of the Best Taekwondo Championship, held on 5–6 September 2026 in Manila!

Zane and Jia both captured bronze for Kyorugi and Poomsae, respectively, while Coach Roel took home silver for Poomsae—giving the AGS taekwondo team three podium finishes at the national championship! 🥈🥉🥉

And there’s more: another AGS jin also made it to the Top 8 in Poomsae! 👀🥋

🥋🏆 HE’S A WORLD CHAMPION AGAIN! 🌎🥇

AGS jiu-jitsu star Franco Del Pilar has reclaimed the world championship title, once again rising to the top of the global stage at the SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2026 in Tokyo, Japan!

Competing in the Yellow Kid 5 Division, Franco captured Gold in No-Gi to secure the World Champion title, while also earning Bronze in Gi—bringing home two podium finishes from the international competition. 🥇🥉

From the Philippines to the world stage, Franco has once again shown that he belongs among the best in the sport! 🇵🇭🌏

🤸‍♀️🏆 AGS just made its gymnastics debut—and came home with a haul of medals! 🥇🥈

It was a historic first for Ateneo de Manila Grade School at the ASAPSQC Gymnastics District Meet— and Bianca Tupaz and Corryne Posadas made sure it was a debut to remember!

Bianca emerged as the WAG Cluster 1 Overall Champion, winning gold in Vault, Beam, Floor, and Individual All-Around, plus silver in Bars. 🏅

Meanwhile, rhythmic gymnast Corryne Posadas swept her events with three gold medals in Freehand, Ball Apparatus, and Individual All-Around! 🥇🥇🥇

And there's another AGS gymnast headed to the Division Meet in October. 👀🤸‍♂️ Who is he, and how did he qualify?

Taking their place among the nation’s best! ⚔️

AGS fencers Michael Garcia and alumnus Aidan Taguinod (Class of 2025) remarkably earned national honors at the 2025 Philippine Fencing Association (PFA) Top 4 Awards, last 14-15 February 2026 in Quezon City. Recognizing the best fencers of the country in each discipline, PFA'S Top 4 Awards lauded Michael with Rank 1 in the U8 Épée division and Rank 2 in the U8 Boys' Sabre category, as well as Aidan Taguinod with Rank 2 in both the U12 and U14 Boys' Sabre divisions.

Grace in every movement, strength in every routine! 🤸‍♀️

Five gymnasts from AGS brought their skill, poise, and determination to the 2026 Club Gymnastica Friendship Meet last 2 August in Pasig, bringing home an impressive 24 medal haul across the WAG and MAG categories.

🏅 Zoe Ureta emerged as the WAG Level 1 Individual All-Around Champion, winning four gold medals.

🏅 Joe Mendoza clinched 2 golds, 2 silvers, and placed 3rd in the Individual All-Around.

🏅 Fuji Tejido topped the podium across 3 events and earned 1 silver.

🏅 Camilla Laborde placed 4th in the Individual All-Around, earning 2 golds and 2 silvers.

🏅 Charlotte Saluta earned four silver medals.

From graceful routines to hard-earned podium finishes, these young athletes continue to grow through every challenge, movement, and competition.
