This weekend, I set foot at the Ateneo again after 15 years of being there during my first-ever teaching job right after graduation. I attended the Ateneo Junior High School Fair with our eldest daughter.

Good Manners Reminders in Singapore

One (if not THE) major reason why I love and envy Singapore is with how everything seems to be thought of and implemented in terms of or "the Self in others," for example:

People practice CLAYGO (Clean As You Go) as sign of respect to the cleaners and the next customers;

Places are well-maintained in consideration of people's health and well-being; and

The transport system is efficient and safe, for the people's benefit.

These reminders in train stations as part of the campaign by Singapore Kindness Movement are very powerful in instilling good values and attitude in their people and tourists, and I can only wish that this same campaign is implemented in other countries.
