𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 was first used by the Romans according to the history. The use of concrete fell out of favor after this period, until engineers rediscovered it in the 17th century and began experimenting with its ingredients. Different types of concrete have developed through various innovations, but it is still very much a raw material.

The Philippine Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards (PECCA) 2022 is a collaborative event by the American Concrete Institute Philippines (ACIP) and the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA).The concrete construction projects that are qualified to be nominated for this event are those completed and finalized between January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021. In total, there are seven (7) categories for nomination: Low-Rise Structure, Mid-Rise Structure, High-Rise Structure, Infrastructure, Repair and Restoration, Decorative Concrete, and Horizontal Category. The winners of this program will represent the Philippines in the ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards at Hyatt Regency, Dallas, Texas.
