Join the next UP School of Economics Student Council for AY 2026-2027! Filing for this year's Special Elections are now open. The deadline for filing of candidacy is on July 22, 11:59 PM.

Please submit the following requirements in an email to [email protected] with the subject, [Complete name - Position you are running for]:
1. Certificate of Candidacy*
2. 2x2 Picture
3. General Plan of Action
4. Curriculum Vitae
5. True Copy of Grades**
6. Certificate of Good Moral Character**
Files must be labelled with [LAST NAME] - [TYPE OF FILE] (e.g. DE LEON - General Plan of Action).

SPECIAL ELECTIONS ANNOUNCEMENT

The School of Economics Electoral Board coordinated with the newly elected officers. The SEEB affirms that vacant positions will be filled through Special Elections, as stipulated under Article VII, Section 5(d) of the Electoral Board:

“Sec. 5. Special Elections for the SEC positions shall be deemed necessary under the following grounds:
d. Any other reason deemed justifiable by the SEEB, upon the request of the newly-elected SESC officers to complete their roster of officers.”

Kindly wait for further announcements regarding the official timeline, key dates, and the submission process for applications. Thank you and please be guided accordingly.

[Notice of Withdrawal of Candidacy]

On May 12, 2026, Chairperson Candidate Ms. Kiera Marie Dela Cruz sent a letter of withdrawal addressed to the UP School of Economics Electoral Board, citing her ongoing responsibilities related to the implementation of the BRA Outreach Project in her capacity as incumbent Junior Batch Representative.

Pursuant to Article XI, Section 1 of the School of Economics Electoral Code:

"A candidate can withdraw his/her candidacy anytime during the election period any time before the announcement of the election results is made."

Accordingly, the Electoral Board acknowledges and accepts Ms. Dela Cruz's withdrawal, effective immediately upon receipt of her letter. We extend our best wishes to Ms. Dela Cruz in her future endeavors.
