TALAB 2025: Walking with the Excluded

✨ Organized by the Ateneo Department of Development Studies
This year, as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’ and reflect on the call to “walk with the excluded,” the Department of Development Studies invites the Ateneo community to join a series of activities that amplify marginalized voices and transform reflection into inclusive action.

💧 Future Earth: Science, Knowledge-into-Action, Ridge-to-Reef, SDG-Oriented, Multi-Stakeholder Community-Based Problem-Solving
Discover how science, local wisdom, and solidarity intersect in building flood resilience and social inclusion in Pampanga, Bulacan, and Tarlac. Featuring partners from Future Earth Philippines, Pampanga PSTO, and the University of the Philippines.

🌈 Intersex 101: Listening, Learning, and Walking with Intersex Filipinos
A dialogue-workshop on identity, dignity, and inclusion with Jeff Cagandahan, President and Co-Founder of Intersex Philippines. Together, let’s learn from intersex advocates who courageously speak truth to invisibility.

🤟 Signs of Solidarity: Learning FSL with Pinoy Deaf Rainbow
An engaging workshop on Filipino Sign Language and Deaf LGBTQIA+ inclusion with Pinoy Deaf Rainbow, the country’s pioneering Deaf LGBT organization. Learn to sign, listen, and stand in solidarity.

Through these sessions, we walk with those excluded—transforming knowledge into compassion, and compassion into action.

Let us continue the journey toward a more inclusive, humane, and just society. 💙
