📣 HEADS UP, CGEAHSians!

🚨 STORM ALERT: Typhoon Maymay Is Approaching! 🌧️
Do not wait for floodwaters—prepare early, stay safe always!

🧰 What to Prepare:
💧 Safe drinking water and ready-to-eat food
🔦 Flashlight, extra batteries, candle, and fully charged power bank
💊 Essential medicines and emergency kits, or things we all need
🔋A battery-operated radio, a fully charged mobile phone, and other usable gadgets
📝 List of emergency contacts and a ready-to-go survival bag for quick evacuation

✅ What You Must Do:
📡 Monitor PAGASA and local government advisories
🏠 Secure roofs, windows, and loose outdoor items
🎒 Keep your emergency kit within easy reach
🏡 Evacuate promptly when instructed by authorities

❌ What You Must NOT Do:
🚫 Never walk or drive through flooded roads
🚫 Do NOT spread unverified posts—rely on official sources
🚫 Do NOT litter—debris clogs drains and worsens flooding
🚫 Do NOT ignore warnings or evacuation orders

🌊:Nine months have passed since the ethanol wastewater spill occurred in the Tañon Strait Protected Seascape, yet severe ecological harm continues to affect this vital marine area.

Massive fish kills, coral reef destruction, and widespread seagrass loss persist across the strait—one of the Philippines’ most critical marine ecosystems. As these essential habitats disappear, marine life faces displacement and death, while coastal communities lose their main source of livelihood. This damage also threatens national food security, as the strait supports thousands of fisherfolk and supplies seafood to many parts of the country.

Protecting our seas is a shared responsibility. Building awareness about environmental crises like this is the first and most important step toward meaningful action and recovery.

🚨 By 2050, there could be MORE PLASTIC THAN FISH in our oceans.

This isn’t just a scary prediction, it’s the result of our daily choices. Every single-use bottle, bag, and wrapper we throw away ends up hurting our waters, marine life, our home, and eventually us.

Oceans acts as a shelter to a diverse ecosystems that help sustain life on Earth. It shelters marine life, coral reefs, and so much more. But nowadays, it’s also home to plastics. Plastics that take away from our marine friends, and our planet

Let’s act now before it’s too late. Reduce, reuse, recycle, and refuse single-use plastics. Let us make a small sacrifice for our planet, just as it has always sacrificed for us.
