Did you know? π€
Tongue twisters aren't just games, they train your mouth and brain to work together, improving clarity, pronunciation, and confidence when speaking.
They help improve:
- Articulation
- Diction
- Pronunciation
- Vocal agility
- Confidence in speaking under pressure
Fun fact: Professional broadcasters, actors, and public speakers often use tongue twisters as vocal warm-ups.

π The Power of Storytelling in Everyday Conversations
There's a lolo who tells the same story every family dinner.
Everyone knows how it ends. But every single time, someone tears up. Someone laughs a little too loud. Someone squeezes his hand and says "tell it again."
That's not just memory. That's the power of a story told with heart. β€οΈ
We don't connect through facts.
We don't bond over bullet points.
We connect through stories... the messy, real, human ones that remind us we're not alone.
Think about it:
π£οΈ The conversation that changed your life wasn't a lecture.
π The apology that healed a relationship wasn't a list of reasons.
π The pep talk that kept you going wasn't a motivational quote.
It was a story. Someone saying "I've been there too."
YOU already have stories worth telling.
You just need to learn how to use them. π₯
Because when you master storytelling, you don't just become a better speaker.
You become someone people never forget.

π
It's Mid-Year, Time to Check In on YOU! β¨
Half the year is already behind us. π€―
And here's a question worth sitting with:
π Are you still the same communicator you were in January?
Because growth doesn't happen by accident, it happens when we show up, speak up, and keep going even when it feels uncomfortable.
Take a moment to reflect:
β
Have you spoken in front of an audience this year?
β
Have you listened more intentionally?
β
Have you taken a leadership role whether big or small?
β
Have you pushed past the fear, even just once?
If the answer is YES to even ONE of those, celebrate that. π
And if the answer is not yet? The second half of the year is wide open and waiting for you.
You don't need to be perfect. You just need to keep moving forward. πͺ
The best version of you as a communicator and as a leader is still being written.
Make the second half count. π₯

ποΈ Voices of Freedom π΅π
Freedom takes many forms. Sometimes, it's the courage to speak your mind. Sometimes, it's the willingness to listen to a new perspective. And sometimes, it's the joy of coming home to a community that never forgets you.
Our recent meeting celebrated Voices of Freedom, and what a celebration it was. We were honored to welcome our Immediate Past President, TM Abi Uy, for her first visit in Camanava Brunch Toastmasters Club. Through her DTM project speech, "Quality, Qonnection, Qontinuity," she shared the lessons and growth she gained as a leader, reminding us that great leadership leaves a lasting impact long after the title is passed on.
Her presence brought with it a wonderful reunion. Familiar faces returned, including our Club Advisor, TM Keren, after a year and a half away, and our past Vice President Membership, TM Karlo. It was a heartwarming reminder that while life may lead us down different paths, the bonds we build in Toastmasters have a way of bringing us back together.
Our club also welcomed 11 Toastmaster guests from Antipolo TMC, with TM Ivan leading an exciting debate-style Table Topics session that challenged us to think quickly and speak boldly.
Adding to the meeting's growth and learning was our General Evaluator, DTM Kenneth Co, whose keen observations and thoughtful insights helped us see opportunities beyond what we could on our own. We were also grateful to have our incoming Division Q Director, TM Mike Dela Cruz, who served as the evaluator for TM Abi's inspiring speech.
Meetings like these remind us that freedom is more than a historical milestone. It's the freedom to grow, to lead, to reconnect, and to find our voices alongside people who encourage us every step of the way.
Here's to the voices that inspire us, the friendships that unite us, and the community that keeps us coming home. πβ€οΈπ

CAMANAVA Brunch became a... running club?! πββοΈπββοΈπ
Who would've thought that our next adventure would trade the lectern for the trails? Recently, our club joined a marathon through the beautiful landscapes of Hungduan, where every step came with breathtaking views of the rice terraces and the mountains beyond. πΎβ°οΈ
The run tested our endurance, but the conversations, encouragement, and shared determination made every kilometer memorable. Along the way, we met fellow runners, cheered each other on, and discovered that the best part of the race wasn't just crossing the finish line, it was experiencing the journey together.
Moments like these remind us that Toastmasters is about more than giving speeches. It's about building confidence, embracing challenges, and creating lasting connections, whether we're on stage or out on the trail. π¬β¨
Here's to chasing new adventures, celebrating every milestone, and proving that as a club, we can go the distance, one step at a time. π

π€ Theme: Voices of Freedom
Some voices are loud enough to fill a room. Others are quiet enough to change a heart. Freedom is found in both... in the courage to speak, the wisdom to listen, and the choice to stand for what matters. You don't have to have the perfect words or the biggest stage. Every time you share your story, your truth, or your ideas, you make space for others to do the same. The voice you nurture today may be the one that inspires freedom tomorrow.

The theme was: Bloom Where You're Planted π±πΈ
Just like flowers thrive where they are nurtured, this meeting reminded us that growth begins when we embrace the opportunities right in front of us. Every role, speech, and evaluation contributed to a session filled with learning, reflection, and inspiration.
Leading the meeting was our Toastmaster of the Day, Phoebe, who successfully completed her first stint in the role and warmly oriented our guests after the session, making everyone feel welcome and included.
Taking on double duties was Ckert Sardoma, serving as both Table Topics Master and Prepared Speaker. His speech on global warming challenged members to reflect on the environmental issues facing our world and the practical steps each of us can take to help create a more sustainable future.
π· Menard, our first Prepared Speaker, delivered a thought-provoking speech about pursuing our dreams before starting a family. His powerful message reminded us that the greatest gift we can give our children is not unfinished ambitions, but a life fully lived and dreams courageously pursued.
Helping the meeting bloom with valuable insights was our General Evaluator, Gela, who ensured every role contributed meaningfully to the learning experience.
Supporting the meeting were:
π DTM Mario as Language Evaluator, who creatively reflected on both the "blooms" and "dooms" of the session, highlighting strengths and areas for growth.
π Mischell served as both Timer and Evaluator for our prepared speakers, stepping up admirably when another evaluator was unable to attend and providing thoughtful, constructive feedback.
π» Abi served as Table Topics Evaluator, offering encouraging observations and valuable insights on the impromptu speaking portion of the meeting.
π€ Sofia took on the role of Ah-Counter, helping members become more aware of their speaking habits and improve their communication skills.
From inspiring speeches to insightful evaluations, every participant planted seeds of growth and learning. Together, we proved that wherever we are in our Toastmasters journey, we can always bloom where we're planted. πΈβ¨
