He knows that freedom isn't a spectator sport. He understood that if you love your country, you wouldn't abandon it in its darkest hour. His famous words, "The Filipino is worth dying for," were not merely a political slogan—they were a declaration of faith in every single Filipino. They were a challenge to our collective potential, a reminder that we are a people worth fighting for.
Let us honor him by embodying his virtues. Let us choose integrity over convenience. Let us speak up against injustice, no matter how small. Let us love our country not blindly, but actively. Let us prove, through our actions, that we are indeed a people worth dying for.
