🌿 SEASON OF CREATION 2026 | FINAL ACTIVITY 🌱

The ICTC community concludes the Season of Creation with a meaningful day of tree planting, gardening, and cleaning within the beautiful compound of Our Lady of the Angels Seminary (OLAS).

More than simply maintaining the surroundings, this activity became an expression of our unity, cooperation, and love for nature. Together, the ICTC students shared their time and effort in caring for the seminary grounds, preserving its ecological beauty, and appreciating the gift of creation entrusted to us by God.

Through simple acts of planting, cleaning, and nurturing our surroundings, we are reminded that ecological responsibility begins with what we can do in our own communities. Caring for creation is also a way of caring for one another and for generations yet to come. 🌱

May this experience strengthen in every ICTCian the desire to become responsible stewards of our common home and inspire us to continue caring for nature not only during the Season of Creation, but every day.

“The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it.” – Genesis 2:15

🌿 SEASON OF CREATION 2026 | CHURCH-BASED SOCIAL ACTION & HUMAN RIGHTS

The ICTC community continues its Season of Creation journey through an insightful and meaningful talk by Rev. Fr. Christian “T***s” Buenafe, O.Carm., focusing on Church-based social action and human rights.

His sharing reminds us that the Church’s mission extends beyond the walls of the sanctuary. To follow Christ means to stand with people, especially those whose dignity, rights, and voices are often overlooked. Social action becomes a concrete expression of our faith when we listen, accompany, advocate, and work for justice and the common good.

As future ministers and pastoral workers, we are challenged to see human rights not merely as an issue of society, but as a concern deeply connected with the dignity of every person created in the image and likeness of God.

May this encounter deepen our commitment to a Church that listens, accompanies, protects human dignity, and works for a more just and peaceful society. May our faith move us from awareness to action and from prayer to compassionate service. 🙏

🌿 SEASON OF CREATION 2026
Key Insights from the Talk of Mr. Arnold J. Padilla on PAX Silica

The discussion on PAX Silica opened our eyes to questions that go beyond technology and economic development. It invited us to look more deeply at the relationship between technological progress, natural resources, Indigenous communities, agriculture, the environment, and the future of our country.

Some key insights from the discussion:

🌱 Technological progress must also be examined through its impact on people and creation.

🌱 Natural resources are not unlimited. Development must consider how land, water, minerals, and energy are used and who may be affected.

🌱 Indigenous communities and farmers must be heard whenever development projects may affect their lands, livelihoods, and way of life.

🌱 The environmental cost of development matters. Progress should not be measured only by investments, industries, or jobs, but also by its effects on our common home.

🌱 We need to ask difficult questions before making big decisions. What will be gained? What could be lost? Who benefits? Who carries the cost?

🌱 Young people and future generations must be part of the conversation. The decisions we make today will shape the world they inherit.

🌱 Being informed is part of responsible citizenship. We cannot care for our country and our common home if we do not take the time to understand what is happening around us.

The discussion reminds us that care for creation is not simply an environmental concern. It is also a question of human dignity, justice, responsibility, and our shared future.

May we continue to learn, listen, ask questions, and participate meaningfully in conversations that affect our people and our common home. 🌏🙏

🌿 SEASON OF CREATION 2026 | PAX SILICA

As part of the Season of Creation activities, the ICTC community continues its journey of learning and awareness through a meaningful talk by Mr. Arnold J. Padilla on PAX Silica.

The discussion opens an important space for understanding the intersection of technology, development, society, and the environment, and how these realities affect our common home and future generations.

As people of faith, we are called not only to learn but also to discern how we can respond responsibly to the challenges brought by technological and environmental developments. May this encounter deepen our awareness and encourage us to become more responsible stewards of creation.

🌿 SEASON OF CREATION 2026
Quotable Reflections from the Homily of Rev. Fr. Cristiano R. Pine, OFM

During the Holy Mass for the Season of Creation, Fr. Cris Pine, OFM reminded the ICTC community that caring for our common home requires courage, cooperation, perseverance, and concrete action. His words challenged us to recognize our responsibility as stewards of God’s creation and to begin doing what we can, wherever we are.

Here are some of the memorable reflections from his homily:

🌱 “It’s better to lose a fight while fighting than to lose by default.”

🌱 “To care for our home is one of those thousand lives that we ourselves can offer to God.”

🌱 “All the more, we need to work together as much as we could.”

🌱 “E kung Siya ang Creator God, then, who are we to destroy His creation?”

🌱 “Everything has to be subsumed now in one single issue, and that is the issue of the environmental destruction.”

🌱 “The more we work together, the better the chances of slowing down the climate-related risk.”

🌱 “I know from my heart that each one of us is really struggling, but at the same time, would be wanting to participate and contribute more, and more, so that if we could not really face the problems head-on, at least we are doing something.”

🌱 “We might not be able to memorize all the Greek vocabularies of Mahen, but at least if we are resolved of doing something for the people and for the future generation, then I think you deserve to pass the course.”

🌱 “I hope our gathering today will deepen in us the desire. We have that. Really, the desire to do something for the environment in our own detail ways, in our own rooms, in our own communities.”

May these words inspire us not only to recognize the environmental crisis but also to work together and begin with the little things we can do in our own homes, communities, and daily lives. Caring for creation is part of our responsibility as stewards of God’s gift and as people of faith. 🌏🙏

🌿 SEASON OF CREATION 2026 | HAPPENING NOW 🌏

The ICTC community begins today's celebration of the Season of Creation with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, placing our journey of caring for our common home at the feet of Christ.

The Holy Mass is presided over by Rev. Fr. Cristiano R. Pine, OFM, as we gather in prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of creation and renew our commitment to become responsible stewards of God’s creation.

May this celebration open our hearts to see creation not merely as a resource, but as a gift entrusted to us by the Creator. May our prayer lead us to concrete action, care, and love for our common home. 🙏🌱
