Take a look at this article which explores the actions made by UP student councils in advocating for the inclusion of FSL as a general education course in the university.
Citing the limited number of schools that teach Filipino Sign Language (FSL), UP student councils called on the university to offer FSL classes to all students across its campuses.

💡Did you know that as far as 2013, there were FSL-related courses already being offered in UP Diliman?
In September 2018, University of the Philippines System Filipino Sign Language Task Force was formally established through Administrative Order No. PDLC 19-57. This group was tasked to facilitate the implementation of RA 11106.
Aside from the steps taken by the University, FSL-related classes are also offered in the College of Education and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
As we continue our campaign for the institutionalization of FSL classes in UP Diliman, let us look at what UP Diliman has contributed so far towards inclusivity for the Filipino Deaf Community.
