The students under the nursing and biology programs successfully defended their undergraduate theses on 18 April 2026, demonstrating commendable competence in research and scholarly discourse. This milestone reflects their commitment to advancing evidence-based practice and contributing to the body of knowledge in both nursing and the biological sciences.
The panel of examiners was chaired by ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ผ, and was joined by distinguished research experts, ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ด and ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ผ๐. Last February 28, 2026, the ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ worked hand in hand to conduct a ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ (๐๐๐ฆ) ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด for the residents of our partner community in ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด.
Through this community outreach activity, nursing and biology students shared essential life saving knowledge and practical skills with the participants. The training included discussions and demonstrations on first aid management for choking, fainting, stroke, sprains, burns, and bleeding, as well as proper bandaging techniques.
The students also demonstrated Basic Life Support (BLS), particularly the correct way of performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), emphasizing the importance of immediate response during emergency situations. Participants were given the opportunity to observe and learn the proper steps that can help save lives before professional medical help arrives.
This collaborative initiative aimed to empower the community with basic emergency response skills, and promote health awareness. Through education and community engagement, the activity highlighted the important role of students in promoting health, safety, and preparedness within the community.

Level 2 nursing students from Saint Paul University Quezon City participated in Operation Timbang Plus activity at Barangay Parang, Marikina City as part of their Related Learning Experience in Community Health Nursing.
Operation Timbang Plus involves the weighing and nutritional assessment of children aged 0โ59 months to monitor growth and identify cases of undernutrition, alongside Vitamin A supplementation to strengthen immunity.
More than a learning activity, this community engagement reflects the universityโs mission to form Paulinian nurses grounded in Christ-centeredness, charity, humility, and service, preparing them to care for communities with competence and compassion.
