Sa pagdiriwang ng National Human Rights Consciousness Week ngayong 4-10 Disyembre, muling ipinapaalala sa atin na ang karapatang pantao ay hindi lamang para sa espesyal na okasyon, ito ay bahagi ng ating pang-araw-araw na buhay.
Nasa pagkain na ating pinagsasaluhan, sa edukasyong nagbubukas ng mga oportunidad, sa pagkalinga sa kalusugan, sa kaligtasan sa komunidad, at sa paggalang sa dignidad ng bawat tao. Ito ang mga pang-araw-araw na kailangan upang tayo ay mamuhay nang malaya, ligtas, at may dignidad.
Sa temang “Karapatang Pantao: Kasama sa Araw-Araw,” nananawagan ang Commission on Human Rights at mga katuwang na ahensya na kilalanin at isabuhay ang karapatan ng lahat. Ang karapatang pantao ay dapat araw-araw na tinatamasa at pinangangalagaan para sa isang makatarungan at makataong lipunan.
