The Department of Pharmacy proudly congratulates its BS Pharmacy student researchers who presented their work at the 1st Health and Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Research Colloquium last May 29, 2026.

Organized by the University Research and Development Center in partnership with the College of Medical Technology, the event brought together students from Pharmacy, Biology, and Medical Technology to share research and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.

The colloquium also featured distinguished researchers from Taiwan, including representatives from National Sun Yat-sen University, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, and Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, providing valuable perspectives on current developments in healthcare and scientific research.

Guided by the theme, “Empowered to Care: Translating Scientific Discovery to Healthcare Innovation,” the presentations highlighted the role of research in advancing evidence-based healthcare and improving patient outcomes.

Held on April 24 at Trinity University of Asia, this year’s Career Talk brought together students and attendees to explore the dynamic roles and opportunities in pharmacy under the theme, Pharmacy Without Borders: Opportunities Across Practice Settings.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our distinguished speakers, Mr. Justine Carlo A. Ordoña, RPh, of Hizon Laboratories, Inc., who shared valuable insights on Industrial Pharmacy Practice, and Dean Louie Fernand D. Legaspi, RPh, MHSS, FACP, of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, who discussed opportunities in Academic Pharmacy Practice. Their perspectives enriched the learning experience of our participants and inspired future pharmacy professionals to appreciate the diverse pathways within the profession.

This event was made possible through the efforts of the TUA College of Allied Health Sciences-Department of Pharmacy, in partnership with the Junior Philippine Pharmacists' Association.
