At the forefront of innovation, we are the Genesis-Innovations Committee

Genesis envisions itself to be a community of innovators who will initiate synergistic collaborations between different org clusters and student groups in the Ateneo de Manila High School. Positioning itself as the “Pioneer of innovation” in the Ateneo de Manila High School Community, Genesis believes that innovation is a complex social activity that requires the initiative and collaboration different groups. The wide nature of Genesis aspires to harness the potential and strengths of the different students groups and to add depth in their service-oriented aspect through a prolific series of dialogue and brainstorming sessions. Innovations to be produced by Genesis can be in the form of an item or an event as long as it either improves something existing or creates something entirely new all for the benefit of the Ateneo High School Community. Thus, in the process, Genesis enriches the competencies of the student groups by infusing their strengths with service orientation, sustainability, and creative problem solving. To accomplish the aforementioned vision, the committee will provide:

* avenues for fruitful discourse and idea pitching between representative from different org clusters

* a formation program gearing towards the preparation of committee members to working with an interdisciplinary mindset

* venues for cluster integration where a cluster’s strengths will be shared to enrich the competencies of another cluster

* avenues for tie-up with other organizations in the Ateneo High School and beyond

With the hope of maximizing the potential of the student orgs through synergism and integration, Genesis is expected to produce a series of outputs that are socially-oriented, community-based, and sustainable.

Just last Saturday, The Garage PH's event entitled TechClash 2016 ended with its Competition Day. Teams from different schools pitched their ideas on how to use technology to help improve the state of our community's education. This video gives a simple recap and shows some of the important ideas during the event's Conference Day.

Ateneo De Manila High School's Team MicaPH is now a certified Social Innovation Collaborative Global Trailblazer after being selected as one of the winners of Harvard University's Village to Raise a Child 2015 global competition. The 12-O students Earl Mabulay, Julian Patdu, Vinz Ferrer, Diego Manalastas, and Manuel Ng won with the help of Mr. Marion Olmillo of the AHS Computer Subject Area for their proposed app which aims to revolutionize health care in the Philippines.
