We would all like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the recent donation drive!

Because of your generosity, the Nursing Student Council was able to turn over the collected relief goods to Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City, helping families affected by the fire receive much-needed assistance during this difficult time. The donations consisted of some medicine, food, and other essential goods that will help the affected families of the fire to get back on their feet.

This effort would not have been possible without the compassion and solidarity of the student body. Together, we proved that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.

In the spirit of compassion and service, the Nursing Student Council is calling for donations to support families affected by a recent fire in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City. The incident has left several residents displaced and in need of immediate assistance. We are currently accepting financial donations to help provide relief to those affected. Monetary donations are also welcome and will be directed toward urgent needs.

As future healthcare professionals, we believe in caring not only within hospital walls but also within our communities. Any form of support, no matter how small, can help bring comfort and hope to families during this difficult time.

The Nursing Student Council strongly condemns the degrading and inappropriate remarks made by Quezon City Representative B**g Suntay toward actress Anne Curtis. Such statements have no place in public discourse—especially not in the halls of Congress, where respect, integrity, and professionalism should prevail.

A woman’s presence, voice, and participation in public spaces are never invitations for objectification, disrespect, or the projection of anyone’s fantasies. Words spoken by leaders carry weight, and when those words demean women, they reinforce harmful attitudes that continue to endanger dignity, equality, and safety.

This National Women’s Month, we stand in solidarity with all women who continue to break barriers, claim their rightful spaces, and demand the respect they deserve.

As future healthcare professionals, we remain committed to advocating for safe spaces, gender respect, and dignity for all—not only within our institutions but in every sphere of society.
