The Nursing Student Council Elections officially commence tonight with the posting of candidates for the respective positions. This marks the beginning of an important democratic process within our academic community, where student voices and participation play a vital role in shaping the leadership of the Nursing Student Council.

Please be informed that the voting forms will open tomorrow at 10:00 AM and will remain accessible until June 29, 2026, to give consideration to students who may have prior academic commitments, personal obligations, or scheduled breaks during the voting period.

Ngayong ika-12 ng Hunyo, ginugunita natin ang tapang, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga Pilipinong nagbigay-daan upang matamasa natin ang kalayaang tinatamasa ngayon. Higit pa sa isang pagdiriwang, ang Araw ng Kalayaan ay paalala ng ating pagkakakilanlan bilang isang bansang matatag, makabayan, at nagkakaisa sa kabila ng ating mga pagkakaiba.

Sa panahong maraming usapin tungkol sa pagkakakilanlan at pagiging "halfie," naaalala natin na ang pagiging Pilipino ay hindi nasusukat sa dugo, itsura, o apelyido. Ito ay makikita sa pagmamahal sa bayan, paggalang sa ating kultura, at pagpapahalaga sa kalayaang ipinaglaban ng ating mga bayani.

Bilang mga mag-aaral ng narsing at mga susunod na lingkod ng sambayanan, ipinagmamalaki naming dalhin ang diwa ng pagiging Pilipinoโ€”may malasakit, may puso, at handang maglingkod. Nawaโ€™y patuloy nating pahalagahan ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng ating mga bayani sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa, pananagutan, at pagmamahal sa ating bansa.

Last April 30 at the WCC QC Gymnasium, aspiring nurses took part in Navigating the Global Nursing Landscape: A Guide for Aspiring Nurses. This was a meaningful seminar that shed light on the opportunities and realities of pursuing a nursing career abroad.

Throughout both the morning and afternoon sessions, 3rd and 4th year students gained valuable insights on international pathways, requirements, and the preparation needed to thrive in a global healthcare setting. More than just information, the seminar sparked motivation, encouraging students to envision themselves not only as local practitioners, but as globally competitive professionals.

As these future nurses continue their journey, they carry with them not just knowledge, but a renewed sense of purpose and possibility. The world is vast, and their potential reaches just as far.
