The Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN also bids goodbye to REIINNFORCE - Resilient Information Infrastructure and Networks: Further Overall Research for Continuous Enhancements, a DOST-ASTI GAA-funded project.

REIINNFORCE laid the foundational enhancement platforms to which future developments like REIINNDRROPS are anchored.

𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗜𝗡𝗡 𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀

As we bid goodbye to 2025, we recognize the accomplishment of our recently concluded project with DOST- National Capital Region, the Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN - Deployment in an Urban Setting (REIINN NCR).

From its original goal of assessing the impact of REIINN Technologies in urban areas by monitoring the deployment of three RuralCasting Box units, the team was able to deploy six units, with at least one unit in the four clusters of DOST NCR: DOST-National Capital Region CAMANAVA Cluster, DOST-National Capital Region PAMAMARISAN Cluster, DOST-National Capital Region MUNTAPARLAS Cluster, and DOST-National Capital Region PAMAMAZON Cluster.

With deployments in 3 Elementary schools, 2 High Schools, and 1 Learning Center, at least 𝟏𝟒,𝟔𝟗𝟑 learners (based on the recent enrolment data) have access to REIINN Technologies in the NCR.

Sa araw na ito, ating alalahanin ang kanyang mga ambag bilang manunulat, doctor, at repormista na nagmulat sa pambansang kamalayan ng mga Pilipino. Sa kanyang talino, husay, at tapang, ipinamalas ni Dr. Rizal ang diwa ng isang bayani na patuloy nagbibigay-inspirasyon sa ating bayan.

It is with immense honor and gratitude that we announce that the Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN team members have authored two of the six papers from the DOST Advanced Science and Technology Institute that were accepted as recipients of the 2025 DOST Intellectual Property Awards, particularly the International Publication Award (IPub).

This award, given by NAST PHL, recognizes scientists and researchers of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) who were able to publish their research outputs in Web of Science/Clarivate Analytics or Scopus indexed journals.

The two papers are: "LokaLTE: Performance Evaluation of an SDR-Based LTE Community Cellular Network in the Philippines (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10589258)" and "RuralCasting - A Non-Internet Based Distribution System for Digital Resources in the Philippines (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10902855)"

[HAPPENING NOW] The Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN team received two certificates of completion for the projects culminating in 2025, REIINN NCR and REIINNFORCE.

REIINN NCR is a collaboration with DOST- National Capital Region to deploy REIINN technologies in the four CASTOs: DOST-National Capital Region CAMANAVA Cluster, DOST-National Capital Region MUNTAPARLAS Cluster, DOST-National Capital Region PAMAMAZON Cluster, and DOST-National Capital Region PAMAMARISAN Cluster.

REIINNFORCE is a DOST Advanced Science and Technology Institute GAA funded project for continuous enhancements of REIINN technologies.

The Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN project of the DOST Advanced Science and Technology Institute is honored to announce that our newest paper, entitled "LokalFi: a Framework for Long-Range Wi-Fi Deployment in the Philippines" is now available in IEEE Xplore.

The said research paper was presented at the 2025 IEEE Global Humanitarian Conference (GHTC) in Golden, Colorado, USA.

The Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN mourns the passing of Prof. Queena N. Lee-Chua, Ph.D.

Prof Queena served as one of Project REIINN's consultants during its early implementation stages and has provided significant insights for the success of the project.

Project REIINN will forever be grateful to Prof. Quenna's contributions.

It is a busy day for Resilient Education Information Infrastructure for the New Normal-REIINN Project of the DOST Advanced Science and Technology Institute, as it is also participating in the National Convening on Meaningful Community-Centered Connectivity Initiatives (CCCls) on December 3–4, 2025, at the Ibis Styles Hotel Manila in Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City, organized by the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA).

Mr. Ken Sumalinog, representing Project REIINN, also participated in a panel discussion on how Multistakeholder Approaches Support CCCIs.
