The Lord is identified by many names or titles in the New Testament: Second Adam, Advocate, Almighty, Author and Finisher of our faith, Beloved of God, Captain of salvation, Bridegroom, Bright and morning star, Chief Cornerstone, Chief Shepherd, Christ Jesus, Day Star, Door of the sheep, Great Shepherd, Head of the corner, Holy Child, King, Lamb of God, Life, Light, Living Bread, Living Stone, Lord of glory, Lord of lords, Master, Mediator, Messiah, Our Passover, Our Peace, Prince of life, Propitiation, Rabboni, Redeemer, Savior, Son of David, Son of man, True Vine, Word of God, Word of life.

This is merely a few out of the more than one hundred and seventy names or titles that our Lord is recognized by in the New Testament. He is all of these things and so much more.

And all of these things are summed up in the Name Jesus!
If we need healing for our sickness, it is in the Name of Jesus.
If we need direction for our lives, it is in the Name of Jesus.
If we need salvation from our sins, it is to be found in the Name of Jesus.
Everything we need today can be found in the Name of Jesus. By the providential wisdom of God, He chose to invest all His power and Glory in the Name that has been placed above all names; Jesus!
