Two more days until the webinar! ✨
Today, we officially announce the big names of our panelists: Mr. Honorio T. Palarca, Ms. Anabelle E. Plantilla, and Dr. Corazon B. Cruz.
Mr. Honorio Palarca is a Licensed Environmental Planner and Landscape Architect and is currently a Senior Lecturer at Miriam College and University of the Philippines Diliman. He was a National Programme Officer with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and served as Chief Technical Adviser/Specialist/Expert on local level planning, accessibility planning and job creation and livelihood recovery through rural infrastructure development, reconstruction and rehabilitation.
Ms. Anabelle Plantilla is the Project Manager of the Biodiversity Finance Initiative or BIOFIN, a project of the United Nations Development Programme and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. She is a licensed environmental planner with a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines and a BS degree in Environmental Planning from Maryknoll College (now Miriam College). Her professional career spans several government positions, stints with the private sector and academe and a long affiliation with Haribon Foundation as former Chief Operating Officer.
Dr Corazon Bautista Cruz is presently a member of the Board of Environmental Planning and Chairperson of the CPD Council for Environmental Planning of the Professional Regulation Commission. Her work as an urban planner dates back prior to the enactment of PD 1308 when environmental planning was relatively a new profession. Her stint with the academe involved 8 long years as Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism and 6 years as Senior Professorial Lecturer at Miriam College Department of Environment. She served the National Board of the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners in various capacities for countless years and two - term Chancellor of the College of Fellows.
