𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is a process where by well-trained and motivated individuals assist young people.

𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 aim to assist young people in developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for positive behavior modification by establishing accessible and affordable preventive and psychosocial support.

As part of the closing event for the 60th foundation day of our beloved Juan Sumulong High School, the Peer Educators, along with Barkada Kontra Droga Club, prepared a billiard game for Sumulongians to play and enjoy!

𝙅𝙪𝙖𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚-𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 🌱💚

On December 6-7 2023, Sumulongians are geared up to participate in the Department of Education's (DepEd) launching of DepEd 236,000 Trees - A Christmas Gift for the Children at Juan Sumulong High School.

Along with the 47,678 DepEd public schools, more than 236,000 trees will be planted simultaneously around the nation.

This project, which is a gift from the DepEd, aims to inspire environmental responsibility and promote environmental preservation in Filipino children while also protecting a clean and green environment for them and future generations.

𝗣𝗮𝗴 𝗻𝗮-𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗼, 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗸𝗮 🫣

To ensure that our students at Juan Sumulong had plenty of fun and excitement during the “Araw ng mga Bata,” the Peer Educators and Barkada Kontra Droga Club had a collaboration booth.

Many students and even teachers showed confidence to participate in the game of ring toss. It's objective is to shoot the ring into the plastic bottles, where each student is given 5 rings to shoot, and if they successfully win the game, they win a prize.

We express our gratitude to Project AKAP and the organizers behind this project for providing students with the chance to relive the joy of childhood. 🩷

The Peer Educators Club, together with the Gender and Development Club of Juan Sumulong High School, did a rollout last Tuesday, November 21, 2023. This is to deliver a knowledgeable lecture to every Sumulongian about child protection, cyberbullying, K–12 understanding bullying, drug abuse, gender and development, and K–12 basics.

Together, we spread knowledge and pass it on to one another. 🫂

𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 | PEER Educators

On November 10, 2023, at about 8:00 a.m.onwards at Juan Sumulong High School, 18th Avenue, Cubao The Guidance Department, in partnership with the School Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) and School Disaster Risk Reduction Management (SDRRM), initiated the Drug Addiction Awareness and Prevention Seminar, hosted by Mr. Serafin P. Santos, and the seminar was conducted by Dr. Rally Abalon in partnership with Ma'am Michelle Ponce.

The purpose of this activity is to educate young people about the negative effects that illegal drugs have on the body and the importance of abstaining from all unlawful behavior.
