🎙️ "Paulit-ulit magsalita ang anak mo?" 👀

It's called echolalia—and it may be more than "just repeating words."

💙 In this podcast episode, we talk about:
🧠 What echolalia really is
🧠 Why children use it
🧠 How parents and teachers can respond effectively

Sometimes, repetition is communication.

🧠 Pragmatic Language Disorder (PLD) is a communication difficulty where a person struggles to use language socially—like taking turns in conversation, reading social cues, or staying on topic.

A child may:
💬 Talk a lot but not make sense in conversation flow
👀 Have trouble understanding tone, jokes, or sarcasm
🤝 Struggle to maintain friendships despite speaking well

As teachers and parents, awareness matters. Early understanding = better support, not labels.

Let’s stop calling it “behavior problem” when it might be a communication need. 💛

🚨 “Bakit siya palaging naglalakad pabalik-balik?” 🚶‍♂️💭

Not all behaviors need to be stopped. 💙
Sometimes, stimming is a child’s way of coping, calming down, and feeling safe.

Before saying “stop,” let’s first understand why they do it.
Because behavior is communication. ✨

🚨 HINDI TAMAD ANG BATA. BAKA HIRAP LANG SIYA MAG-EXPRESS AT MAG-PROCESS.

May batang tahimik, mabagal sumagot, at hirap sa reading…
pero hindi ibig sabihin ay hindi siya matalino.

Sa experience ko bilang SPED teacher, nakita ko na nung gumamit ako ng visuals, music, at teaching style na nakabase sa interest niya, nagbago yung learning niya.

From 5/50 sight words, naging 43/50 ang kaya niyang basahin.

Minsan, hindi pilit ang kailangan…
kundi tamang paraan ng pagtuturo.
