PRE-ONCOLOGY Rx TRAINING EVENT | NOVEMBER 30 HOSPITAL TOUR

Today’s pre-event Hospital Tour marked the official warm-up to our Oncology Rx: Competency-Based Training on Cancer Pharmacotherapy and Aseptic Oncology Compounding (Batch 2).
Our participants were given the valuable opportunity to:
🔸 Visit and observe the Oncology Isolator Facility of Ospital ng Makati
🔸 Network and engage with experienced Oncology Pharmacists
🔸 Benchmark oncology workflow and facility practices
🔸 Explore best practices that may enhance their own institutional systems
🔸 Participate in an initial PPE donning and doffing trial
🔸 Gain first-hand exposure to isolator operations and protocol discussions
This pre-event learning experience sets the tone for a richer, more meaningful 3-day Oncology Rx Training ahead—grounded in real-world practice, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Gentle reminders:

Our Day 1 training officially begins tomorrow, December 1, 2025, at 7:30 AM. Please arrive at the venue — Business Hub, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong — on or before 7:30 AM.
Pre-test 1 will start promptly at 7:30 AM and is time-restricted, so punctuality is essential.

Get a good rest tonight as we prepare for a full day of learning. Remember, we begin with URL — Unlearn, Relearn, and Learn — the pathway to Elevate, Evolve, and Excel (SHRTC Principles).

If you have food restrictions or allergies, kindly message us so we can plan the meals and snacks accordingly.

Note:

Included in this post is the pre-event Hospital Tour, where participants were oriented to the Isolator Oncology Facility of Ospital ng Makati. They also received a preliminary orientation on proper PPE donning and doffing, which will be further reinforced and practiced during the training days.

Questions and clarifications were addressed during the tour to support our Oncology Pharmacists in benchmarking their own facilities or enhancing their current systems and workflows.
