Dr. Paz Hernandez-Diaz, VP for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication, will give a talk on how to write a good literature review, while Prof. Caroline Balmes of the University of the Philippines - College of Social Work and Community Development, will focus on empowering the University Extension Services through Community Needs Assessment. QCU’s very own President, Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, delivers the keynote message on the topic “Collective Knowledge Generation and Mobilization through University - Community Partnership” on the second day of the APCORE-PIKSI 2023 Hybrid International Conference held at the Grant Asrilia Hotel Convention and Restaurant, Bandung Indonesia.

“Knowledge production that is driven by an empowered community would influence policy development and implementation, and help create a democratic society,” Dr. Atienza emphasized.

Organized by the QCU Research, Extension, Planning, and Linkages – Research Management Office (REPL-RMO), the event brought together a distinguished line-up of resource speakers, research presenters, and panel reviewers.

QCU completes its Midyear Assessment for 2023 14/08/2023

Participated by 57 heads from QCU's different sections and units, the Midyear Assessment 2023, which was spearheaded by QCU President, Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, focused on the theme: “QCU as One: Working Towards Sustainability.” Vice Presidents, Department Directors, College Deans, and Unit Heads, including some support staff from the different offices of the University, were in attendance during the three-day activity facilitated by the Research, Extension, Planning, and Linkages – Institutional Planning Office (REPL-IPO). The event was aimed at evaluating what has been accomplished for the first half of 2023 and identifying the University’s plans for the remaining half of the year.
