READ | Pag-IBIG Orientation for the UPSA Individual Contract of Service (ICS) and Job Order (JO) Personnel
The UP System Human Resources Development Office (SHRDO) successfully conducted the Pag-IBIG Orientation for Individual Contract of Service (ICS) and Job Order (JO) Personnel of the UP System Administration (UPSA) on 21 November 2025. The virtual session, held via Zoom from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, aimed to enhance awareness of Pag-IBIG remittance processes and ensure that ICS and JO personnel are well-informed about the benefits and services available to them.
Recognizing the shared needs of workers across the UP community, the SHRDO extended the orientation to include ICS and JO personnel from various UP Constituent University (CU). Representatives from each CU's HRDO and Accounting Office also participated to better understand their integral roles in assisting personnel with contribution coordination and processing.
The orientation featured Ms. Nova Kristal Pala, Marketing Officer of the Pag-IBIG Fund โ Diliman-DHSUD Branch, who presented a comprehensive overview of contribution remittance procedures, benefit entitlements, and requirements for membership updates.
Participants were given the opportunity to raise questions during an open forum, where common concerns on contribution posting, voluntary payments, and benefit eligibility were addressed. The session provided valuable clarity on frequently encountered issues and concerns, allowing personnel and CU representatives to identify actionable solutions.
The program opened and concluded with messages from Director Richard S. Javier of the UP System HRDO, who emphasized the Universityโs commitment to strengthening administrative support systems for non-regular personnel. He highlighted the importance of accessible information and proper coordination to ensure that ICS and JO personnel receive the government-mandated benefits they are entitled to.
By organizing this orientation, the University reaffirmed its goal of fostering an informed and empowered workforce. The activity also reinforced collaboration across UP CUs and their respective Pag-IBIG Fund Branchesโcontributing to more efficient processes, improved compliance, and enhanced personnel welfare within the UP System.

JUST IN: Malacaรฑang, through Memorandum Circular No. 106, suspends work in government offices and classes on Monday (Nov. 10, 2025) in the National Capital Region, Cordillera, and Regions I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, and VIII as Super Typhoon (Fung-wong) barrels through Luzon with destructive winds and torrential rain.
Meanwhile, classes at all levels in the aforementioned regions, as well as in Regions VI, VII, and the Negros Island Region, are suspended on Nov. 10 and 11.
โAgencies responsible for basic, vital, and health services, preparedness and response duties must continue to remain operational,โ the circular read.
Malacaรฑang said other government offices in affected areas may adopt alternate work arrangements to ensure the continuity of essential functions.
