Ngayong Agosto Ipinagdiriwang natin ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, na may temang "Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon".

Isang paalala na huwag kalimutan ang wikang pinagmulan, sapagkat ito'y kaagapay natin sa panahon ngayon. Lalo na sa panahon na dagsaan ang paggamit ng mga teknolohiya at AI o Artipisyal na katalinuhan.

Ang buwan ng wika ay isang paalala sa ating pinangmulan ng Wikang Pambansa. Ito'y bahagi na ng ating kultura, tradisyon, at pagkakakilanlan.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗫 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔, 𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗔𝗗?

The Pax Silica is a US-led project that aims to secure supply chains for critical resources, artificial intelligence(AI), semiconductors, and microchips. The Philippines has recently joined this initiative, collaborating with the US and its allied countries.

Why is it bad?

The Philippines is a country rich in natural resources, including water, lands, nickel, and copper. These resources are essential to make this project feasible. Many see it as an opportunity, as this could mean more jobs, money, and investments in the philippines.

However, this sparked controversy because
1. Would Filipinos actually benefit from this initiative, or would Filipinos be robbed once again of our natural resources?
2. This project possesses threats and risks in our environment. It's bad enough that we live close to the equator. With such a huge factory, how would this affect the country’s overwhelming heat and extreme weather conditions?
3. The infrastructure for this project would take thousands of hectares of land. What would happen to our farmers?
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) uses thousands to millions gallons of pure water. What would happen to the Philippines' supply of clean water once this project is established?

There are a lot of questions, doubts, and problems regarding this initiative. It is important that we start moving now and question the government before we lose everything we have.

The Quezon City Local Government Unit has issued a city wide class suspension on July 27, 2026, to give way and importance for the fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of our President, Ferdinand "B**g B**g" Marcos Jr. at the Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.

The President shall give an hour-long speech regarding the status of the government and the country, national issues, the achievements attained by his administration, and the established plans for the following years.

𝗖𝗣𝗥 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲-𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

The Kasilagans, faculty members, and school personnel participate in a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training held at the P.A. Hall to strengthen emergency response skills and promote safety awareness within the school community.

The training provided participants with essential knowledge and hands-on practice in performing CPR and responding to emergency situations. Through this initiative, attendees gained valuable life-saving skills that can help them act confidently and effectively during emergencies.

The activity reflects the school's commitment to fostering preparedness, responsibility, and a culture of safety, equipping LRKSHS community with practical skills that may one day help save lives.

In Photo | On July 16, 2026, the SSLG Officers and the SPTA held their first meeting to discuss plans and priorities for the School Year 2026–2027.

Despite the challenges brought by the new academic system, the SSLG and the SPTA remain committed to enhancing the quality of students' learning experiences at LRKSHS.

The meeting also focused on identifying initiatives that promote student welfare, strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school community. Through these efforts, both organizations aim to implement meaningful programs and improvements that will benefit the entire Kasilagans throughout the academic year.
