It's about time we w**d out scams and pyramiding schemes!

There should really be better / stricter regulations regarding direct sales & retail businesses. Growth in this industry will not only provide more jobs and give business opportunities and financial options / growth for the people, it will also boost or sustain the economic growth in our country - while also extracting out bad elements in our society! There are scammers out there - so beware. If they are not part of or permitted by the government or accredited agencies (DTI, DSAP, etc), then the more you have to do your research and do your due diligence!

One critical item was stated in one of the articles: "The Philippines is the last country in Asia to have this kind of law."

Maybe stop and think for a moment.. if we want this country to move forward and get ahead, then maybe it's time we not only check the employment status in our country, but also the status of self-employment and the options available for the business-minded and the would-be entrepreneurs, and help out with the micro, small and medium enterprises. To separate the legitimate from the not-legitimate, and help our countrymen move forward and fight poverty on their own by giving proper & more viable options to the people.

Kiyosaki says there are 4 possible sources of income streams. We are allowed to not only have 1 source: we can be employees, while also being into business or investments, and look out for good Plan B's. Getting scammed makes people scared more, or fear stepping out of their comfort zones. When taking risks, taking action and getting out of our comfort zones will give us more freedom in terms of time and financials - and get us closer to the dream life we've always been hoping to live.

“Be proactive” and take control of your own fate.

Within each of us exists the basic human need to try to influence the world around us, or, in other words, to be proactive.

This is what distinguishes us from animals: an animal simply acts according to the way it is programmed. An external stimulus triggers a particular reaction. Humans, by contrast, “program” themselves.

We are able to reflect in the time between receiving a stimulus and reacting. The ability to “externally” observe ourselves and our actions allows us to actively decide how we react to outside influences.

If you spend the whole day sawing away and yet never find time to actually sharpen your saw, you are doing something fundamentally wrong.

Taking care of your most vital resources is crucial if you want to be lastingly effective: these resources are your own workforce.

It is essential to be proactive in this regard, and this applies to all areas of life.

“Synergize” by treating others with openness and respect.

The results are almost impossible to predict, and synergetic work can often come close to chaos. But you mustn’t let yourself be discouraged by this. Instead, you must focus on the fact that, by the end, you will have reached a result which would have been unachievable by an individual.

If you want to be truly effective, always “put first things first.”

If you want to proactively influence your situation in life, and you have a clear goal in mind, you need good habits which will help you translate these aims into actions.

A mission or vision can only become a reality if you really live by it from day to day.

“Begin with the end in mind” – if you want to achieve something, you need long-term goals and a mission statement.

It can therefore be useful to come up with a personal mission statement and write it down. In this mission statement, you set down your personal creed: the basic values and principles you believe in, and the larger goals you want to achieve in your life.

“Be proactive” and take control of your own fate.

An extreme example of true proactivity was Viktor Frankl, who was able to maintain control over his own feelings during his time in concentration camps, including Auschwitz. He simply decided that he was not going to allow his tormentors to control his innermost feelings.

Many people, by contrast, are not proactive in life, but rather reactive. They react to external circumstances and their behavior and emotions are dependent on what goes on around them. Hence, for example, they can be in a good mood only if the weather is also good.

Anything done proactively will help you get to the best options & get you the best chance to live your life to the fullest.

The major disadvantage of the “win-lose” mentality is that when two people of this mentality come up against each other, the situation more often than not becomes a “lose-lose” one. Both parties lose, whilst meanwhile the dog gets the cake, which has been knocked onto the floor in the argument.

Most people are intrinsically shaped by the “win-lose” paradigm. They see every situation as a competition, and others as competitors in the battle for the biggest slice of the cake.

The majority of situations in life, however, don’t need to be a competition. There is usually enough cake for everyone, and it is far better when all parties work towards a “win-win” solution.

Being truly effective means being clear about what it is you want to achieve, and being proactive in putting your goals into action.

This is best achieved by striving to synergize with others, to invest in lasting relationships and to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
