Today is Respect for the Aged Day or Keirou no Hi (敬老の日) in Japan.

It's a National Holiday celebrated on the Third Monday of September. The day is intended to express respect for the elders in the community, to recognize and thank them for their contributions to society, and last but not least, to celebrate their long lives which Japan is respectively known for. 👵👴
