Cubao ES Feature Writer- Mackenzie S. Caluza joined the Regional Schools Press Conference
The opening ceremony of the 2026 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) takes place on Tuesday, March 10, at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA campus in Pamplona III, Las Piñas City, with the theme “Truth in the Digital Age: Empowering Students’ Voices through Responsible Journalism.” The ceremony is attended by Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar-Nery, UPHSD President Dr. Anthony Tamayo, School Director Dr. Arnaldo De Guzman, and other officials.
The event runs until March 14 and gathers thousands of campus journalists from public and private schools across Metro Manila. Participants compete in writing, broadcasting, and multimedia categories in the annual DepEd-sanctioned tilt mandated under the Campus Journalism Act of 1991. The competition also serves as the qualifying round for the National Schools Press Conference set for April 13–17, 2026, in Ormoc City, Leyte. (Contributed Photos)
