"LSQC Conducts School Safety Drill to Strengthen Emergency Readiness

Lourdes School Quezon City conducted a School Safety Drill yesterday, September 3, as mandated by the Department of Education (DepEd), to strengthen the school community’s preparedness and response during emergency situations.

Students from Grades 1 to 12 participated in the drill, with each grade level carrying out the activity at different scheduled times to ensure an organized and safe implementation.

The drill was successfully carried out, with students and personnel demonstrating cooperation and attentiveness throughout the activity.

Through exercises such as this, LSQC continues to promote a culture of preparedness, awareness, and safety among its Lourdesian community.

The Quezon City Government’s announcement regarding the suspension of face-to-face classes on September 1, 2026, applies to public schools.

In-person classes at Lourdes School Quezon City will continue as scheduled. The school will closely monitor the air-quality situation and implement the necessary health and safety measures on campus.

Students and employees are strongly encouraged to wear well-fitting face masks, particularly when outdoors. Those experiencing respiratory symptoms or other health concerns should take the necessary precautions and seek appropriate medical attention.

Sa araw na ito, ating alalahanin at bigyang-pugay ang ating mga pambansang bayani na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay at buong pusong nagsakripisyo para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Hindi lamang sila mga bayani ng nakaraan, kundi naging daan sila sa pag-unlad ng ating bayan at sa mga kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon. Dahil sa kanilang tapang, malasakit at sakripisyo, mayroon tayong mga oportunidad na nagbibigay-daan sa mas magandang kinabukasan.

Patuloy nating alalahanin, pahalagahan, at tularan ang kanilang kabayanihan. Nawa’y ipagpatuloy natin ang kanilang ipinaglaban sa pamamagitan ng pagiging mabuting mamamayan at pagmamahal sa ating bayan.

Please be informed that we will have the following on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon for all Grade 7–12 students, teachers, available school employees and stakeholders:

• Orientation on School Contingency Protocols in the Event of an Active Attack to be conducted by representatives from the Education Section Division of the PNP–NAPOLCOM–QCPD, which will focus on preparedness and appropriate response during emergencies. This presentation is the result of the coordination and collaboration among the Quezon City Local Government Unit, through the Office of the Mayor; the Schools Division Office of Quezon City (SDO-QC); and the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), in a joint effort to strengthen the safety, preparedness, and protection of our school community.

• Psychological Education session facilitated by the Guidance and Wellness Area to help our students and personnel process the topic appropriately, strengthen emotional preparedness and promote a sense of safety and and well-being;

• Reflection on the Sanctity of Life led by the Campus Ministry Office to remind us of the sacred value of every human life and our shared responsibility to respect, and care for each other

The corresponding orientation for Grade School students, teachers, and other employees will be scheduled at a later date.
