Learn how to read and write Korean from the very beginning. Perfect for complete beginners with no prior Korean language experience.

Last May 16, 2026 (Saturday) KSI Quezon City 1 successfully held the 2026 Korean Speech Contest Preliminary Round at Aula Mayor, UST Angelicum College.

This year’s contest became especially meaningful as we welcomed a total of 13 contestants — the highest number of participants since KSI QC 1 was established. Each contestant shared heartfelt stories about their Korean learning journeys under the themes “나의 생활에서의 한국어 (Korean in My Daily Life)” and “내가 한국어를 배우는 이유 (Why I Study Korean).”

Today, May 15, we celebrate both 스승의날 (Teacher’s Day) and the birthday of King Sejong the Great, the creator of Hangeul and one of Korea’s most respected leaders.

King Sejong believed that education and language should be accessible to everyone. Through the creation of Hangeul, he opened the door for ordinary people to read, write, and learn more easily — a legacy that continues to inspire Korean language learners around the world today. ✨

At KSI Quezon City 1, we also take this day to thank all our teachers who dedicate their time, patience, and passion to sharing the Korean language and culture with our students. 💙
