"Prevention is always better than cure." 💙

As much as this may sound cliché, but according to health experts, the way people keep their hands clean is the most important step to take in order to avoid getting sick as well with preventing infectious diseases to spread unto others. 🧼

Moreover, teaching proper handwashing don't just prevent individuals from illnesses but it also promotes awareness and accountability to the communities therein by means of reflecting the importance of being responsible with their own health.

In lieu with this, Mr. James B. Ocampo and Mr. William Dalusong will explain what is handwashing, demonstrate the proper way to do it and elucidate its importance in the face of COVID-19. 🤜🦠

Following the success of donation drives to fund the COVID-19 kits for children in Batangas City, the Kumunektayo team gathered on April 14 to pack the kits and collect the funds from the donors. A Facebook live was held concurrently by the group in order to respond to questions and comments from their followers in real-time, adhering to the principle of transparency.

In total, 30 COVID-19 kits were provided for 30 selected children in the community of Talisay, Batangas. Once the implementation report is completed, these kits will be delivered. Each package contains the following items: ten kf94 facemasks, one spray bottle with alcohol, ten chewable vitamin pills designed exclusively for children, one pack of disinfecting wipes, and another piece of hand washing soap.

The team also created a simple COVID-19 instructional material so that users could train themselves how to get the most out of the kit. The instructional material also contains relevant information pertaining to COVID-19 and government agencies they can consult in the event they experience symptoms of the disease.

The project will be implemented on the 6th day of May in which the target beneficiaries will be from the community of Brgy. San Isidro, located at Rosaria, Batangas. Moreover, this 1-Day project will run based on the following:

We, as a team, will promote community service by means of educating the community with the proper way of practicing hygiene and sanitation, discussing the importance of different safety protocols, and providing Covid-19 Kits to 30 kids.
