The Student Supreme Learner Government of Lagro High School, on behalf of the entire student body, stands unwavering in solidarity with the Quezon City Division Federation of Supreme Secondary Learner Government, its leaders, and the Filipino people who uphold the profound significance of this day—a day that marks the hard-won liberation of the Philippines from the oppression of the regime of Ferdinand Marcos.

We affirm, with resolute conviction, that this commemoration must not be diminished, distorted, nor erased. It shall endure—preserved and strengthened—as a solemn remembrance of one of the darkest chapters in Philippine history and of the collective courage that brought it to an end. This principle, founded upon truth and historical accountability, demands to be safeguarded, defended, and continuously asserted in the face of denial and indifference.

This is a reminder we repeat when reflecting on that historic time—one the QCDFSSLG is determined to reinforce.

As the student leaders of Quezon City, the QCDFSSLG acknowledges the vital importance of marking this day, a landmark in Philippine history that shattered the shackles of Marcos’ dictatorship. As accountable and proactive citizens, we implore all to remember the horrors of the Martial Law era.

The QCDFSSLG strongly condemns any effort to obliterate this event or erase its historical scars. History cannot be revised or rewritten. Genuine acknowledgment demands that we celebrate and uphold the EDSA People Power Revolution.

We commit to truth alone—EDSA was, remains, and forever will be the cornerstone of our liberty as Filipinos.

After an almost three-week-long screening, campaigning, and election process, the Lagro High School Supreme Secondary Learner Government Commission on Elections and Appointments hereby announces those who have emerged as the top candidates in the positions they are running for for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

They are not winners of a position, but individuals chosen to represent and amplify the voice, interests, and image of the student body.

May these students embody the true spirit of leadership coupled with responsibility, accountability, transparency, and above all—integrity. May they uphold social justice and equity to those under their care.

A JOINT RESOLUTION FOR THE OFFICIAL CONDUCT OF THE
2026 SSLG GENERAL ELECTIONS

On the 9th of February, the SSLG - COMEA Joint Resolution No. 005 s. 2025–2026 was adopted by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government, a resolution ordering the conduct of the 2026 SSLG General Elections on 12th of February 2026.

This legislation, authored and introduced by the SSLG President, Rheyen Nazere Abria, and fully seconded by the entire Student Council and the Commission on Elections and Appointments, aims to ensure a fair, transparent, and orderly electoral process within the institution. The resolution sets forth the official guidelines, procedures, and timelines to be followed by all concerned parties to uphold the principles of democracy, accountability, and student representation. Through this joint action, the SSLG reaffirms its commitment to empowering learners by safeguarding their right to vote and to choose leaders who will genuinely serve the student body with integrity and dedication.

The resolution has been carefully reviewed by the SSLG-SHS Adviser, Mr. Alberto Cestona Jr., and the SSLG-JHS Adviser, Mr. Cyrus Yruma, and was approved by the School Principal, Mrs. Zaida M. Padillo.

After a thorough interview and screening process conducted by the Learner Government Commission on Elections and Appointments (LG-COMEA) on January 29, the LG-COMEA proudly releases the list of qualified parties, their candidates, and the positions they are vying for.

This 2026 General Elections marks an exciting milestone with the introduction of three new political parties! Lagronians, prepare your minds and hearts to carefully explore which party and candidate truly align with your principles, values, and aspirations. Your voice matters—make it count!

Ngayong Pebrero 2 hanggang 5, pagkakataon ninyo nang kilalanin ang mga nagnanais maglingkod sa ating paaralan. Gamitin ang panahong ito upang suriin ang kanilang mga plataporma, kakayahan, at tunay na layunin para sa ating paaralan.

On January 29, 2026, at the Lagro High School AVR, the LG-COMEA meticulously reviewed the backgrounds and capabilities of all candidates who filed their candidacies. Every candidate’s beliefs, aspirations, platforms, academic achievements, and leadership experiences were carefully assessed to ensure that only those who demonstrate integrity, competence, and dedication are deemed qualified to serve the Lagronian community. This thorough process ensures transparency, fairness, and accountability in the selection of our future student leaders.

Through this interview and screening, the LG-COMEA also provided an opportunity for candidates to express their vision, showcase their commitment, and inspire their fellow students. By evaluating not just qualifications but also the passion and principles of each individual, the commission upholds the values of responsible leadership and civic engagement, setting the stage for a vibrant and meaningful 2026 General Elections.
