Sugat Team warmly congratulates Dr. Glenn Pajares for his recent appointment as Vice President for Planning and Development of Visayas State University. As an advocate of environmental awareness and sustainability, Dr. Glenn is one of the founding members and hosts of the Sugat Podcast since 2023.

We proudly congratulate Dr. Glenn G. Pajares on his appointment as the new Vice President for Planning and Development. We also extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Moises Neil V. Seriño, the former Vice President for Planning and Development, on his new role as Vice President for Administration and Finance.

The ACRO continues to operate under the capable leadership of the Office of the Vice President for Planning, Resource Generation, and Auxiliary Services—now officially renamed the Office of the Vice President for Planning and Development.

Best wishes to both leaders as they continue to guide and serve the VSU community with excellence!

The goal of the forum is to come up with an interdisciplinary account within and beyond Samar and Leyte. The forum accepts research articles in both English and Filipino. UP Tacloban marks the 11th anniversary of the Super Typhoon Yolanda tragedy with “Mga Bukatkat ha Kabakhawan: Paghinumdum han Yolanda” (Fireflies Among the Mangroves: Yolanda Commemoration), poetry performances in remembrance of those who perished and invoking hope for a climate sustainable future.

"Mga Bukatkat ha Kabakhawan” is scheduled on Thursday, 7 November 2024, 4:00-5:30 PM, at the UP Tacloban Multi-purpose Building.
