🧪 3D MODELS OF COMPOUNDS 2026

What if you could turn atoms into a model you can actually see? ⚛️🔬

In celebration of Science Co-Curricular Week, Grade 8 students will explore chemical compounds by researching, designing, and building their own 3D models using recyclable materials.

📝 Part 1 – Design Plan
Groups of 4-6 members will choose a compound, research its information, and create a design plan for their 3D model.

🔨 Part 2 – Construction of 3D Model and Elimination Round
Groups will build their 3D compound models using readily available recyclable materials and submit them for evaluation in the elimination round.

🏆 Part 3 – Final Round
The highest-scoring 3D model per cluster will advance to the finals. The judges' scores will determine the Top 3 entries, which will be recognized as the overall winners.

What did Earth look like millions of years ago?🌎🦖

Grade 9 students, get ready to explore the Geologic Time Scale and bring the story of Earth’s past to life through creativity, collaboration, and science!

📝 Part 1 – Elimination Round
Students will create an infographic showcasing the environment, climate, flora, fauna, and significant characteristics of their assigned geologic period.

🎨 Part 2 – Semi-Final Round
The top 5 groups from each cluster will advance and enhance their infographics on a ½ illustration board.

🏆 Part 3 – Final Round
The highest-scoring infographic for each geologic period will be displayed along the HB Building hallway. The Top 3 Best Infographics will be recognized!

📣🌱🌳SCI-TALK 2026: Voices for a Balanced Ecosystem

As part of our Science Co-Curricular Week, all Grade 10 students are encouraged to take part in SCI-TALK 2026, a series of activities designed to challenge students to apply their knowledge of population growth, carrying capacity, and limiting factors.

📝 Part 1 – The Ecosystem on Paper
Students will write a scientific essay and explain their ideas using accurate concepts, evidence, and examples.

🎤 Part 2 – Extemporaneous Speech or Act
The top three students from each section will move on to an extemporaneous activity, where they will respond to a given scenario and question.

🏆 Part 3 – The Final Extemporaneous Act
Selected cluster representatives will compete in the final round and showcase their ability to analyze scientific situations, explain their ideas, and communicate confidently.

This activity is more than a competition—it is an opportunity for our students to think scientifically, speak clearly, and connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world environmental issues.🌳
