Philippine team excels in MWB Spring Round 2026
The Philippine Team delivered an outstanding performance in the Math Without Borders (MWB) Spring Round 2026, securing a remarkable total of 75 awards across various categories. The competition, held on March 14, 2026, was conducted both online and onsite through the facilitation of the Asian MathSci League, Inc. (AMSLI).
Demonstrating excellence on the global stage, Filipino students brought home 12 Gold Awards, 24 Silver Awards, and 39 Bronze Awards, highlighting the countryโs growing strength in international mathematics competitions.
The Math Without Borders Spring Round is a prestigious international contest that gathers some of the brightest young mathematical minds from 28 participating countries, including Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Estonia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nigeria, Romania, the Philippines, Singapore, Slovenia, Serbia, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, the United States, and Vietnam. The competition challenges participants to solve complex mathematical problems, fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Liam solves the Megaminx! โบ๏ธ
The Megaminx is made in the shape of a dodecahedron, and has 12 faces and center pieces, 20 corner pieces, and 30 edge pieces. The face centers each have a single color, which identifies the color of that face in the solved state. The edge pieces have two colors, and the corner pieces have three.
