In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 126 issued by the Office of the President and posted on the Presidential Communications Office’s page the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Chancellor announced that work at UPD (except for essential services) will observe alternative arrangements for classes and work today, 14 August 2026.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our dear friend and dedicated educator, our College Secretary, Asst. Prof. Rachelle “Babs” Peneyra. More than a teacher, she is a mentor, a source of wisdom, and a kind presence who touched many lives with compassion and sincerity. Her passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to shaping others will always be remembered.
The CHK is forever grateful for the time, lessons, and memories you shared with us, Ma’am Babs. Your legacy will continue to live on in our hearts.
