Damien made me smile today! Our topic was aspektong pangnagdaan ng pandiwa. I asked him to draw his family and to make 3 sentences in Filipino about what he and his family did last weekend. BTW Damien can't speak and understand Filipino so for him to make these 3 sentences on his own is already a breakthrough. But what made me smile was what he said after drawing his family :

DAMIEN (with a very big smile on his face) said : "You know what? This is my best drawing in my whole life!!!!" And he looked very proud of his drawing and I felt the happiness that he felt! There are really times that these students of mine make me smile and they make me feel that I really made the best decision of my life.....TO BE A TEACHER!!!!

The kids are enjoying their classes more because of these new animal avatars 😍🥰😘

Elise was born and raised in Australia! She can't speak and understand Filipino even if both of her parents are Filipinos. She is learning basic words in Filipino! And she is learning fast!

Before Saxon hated to color! When I asked him to color he'd always say "I don't want to color". But today I was so surprised! I asked him to draw and color an ocean and a desert and look at his face.....he really enjoyed it!!!!! To my surprise on the 2nd picture....for the first time.....he was the one who requested "Teacher, can I please color this picture?" Then I asked him to explain the picture then he said "She is getting twigs for the nest." 🤩😍🥰 In the third picture he spelled twigs, bird and eggs correctly and he did not ask for my help! So proud of him....very great improvement! 👏👏👏👏
