PCES is delighted to announce that in the recently concluded Gulayan sa Paaralan 2025, we proudly won Second Place in the entire district of Pura. This achievement is the harvest of the seeds of teamwork and cooperation we have sown together. May we continue to nurture this seed so it may flourish even more—bringing abundance to all and serving as a source of joy and inspiration to everyone who beholds it.

As a community, let us treasure this harvest, born of our hard work, dedication, and sacrifices. Gulayan sa Paaralan is not only a way of promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, but it also underscores the value of unity and collaboration for the well-being of our children.

Today, the school, under the leadership of our esteemed Principal, Dr. Gemma Rosario, officially launched Project ARAL. The event was attended by parents led by SPTA Vice President Mr. Jose Jaen and was supported by our Barangay Chairman, Hon. Nelson Millo, who sent a representative in the person of Barangay Councilor Hon. Melvin Bala, the head of the Committee on Education.

The project was launched under the theme:
"Bawat bata, may gabay. Bawat pangarap, abot-kamay."

This initiative aims to give hope to every child in reaching their dreams. As part of this project, the school will provide a free tutorial center to accommodate learners who are struggling academically, particularly in literacy. Through this program, these pupils will receive focused instruction and attention, ensuring they are not left behind in class.

PCES is truly fortunate to receive overwhelming support from various sectors for this project. These partners have pledged their commitment to work hand in hand with the school to ensure the project's success—and, in turn, the success of every child's dreams.

PCES expresses its deepest gratitude to everyone who took part in this launch—from the pupils and parents to the LGU officials. Truly, it takes a whole community to weave the dreams of our children into reality!

"Preparation is better than repair.” This was the key message that PCES aimed to convey during the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill conducted yesterday September 11, 2025 at the school, led by the school principal Dr. Gemma Rosario and the DRRM Coordinator.

As the sound of the alarm bell echoed throughout the campus, pupils and teachers simultaneously performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, demonstrating their active participation in the drill and their readiness for potential disasters such as earthquakes.

During the activity, important do’s and don’ts before, during, and after an earthquake were also discussed. Pupils were encouraged to reflect on these guidelines and take them to heart, so they may serve as their guide should an actual earthquake occur.

Once again, this drill reinforces the truth that a prepared community can poster resiliency—one that cannot be overcome by any disaster.

PCES Promotes Health Through School-Based Deworming
(September 5, 2025)

Recently, PCES, under the leadership of Dr. Gemma Rosario together with school’s Health Leader, and teachers, carried out a deworming activity for its pupils. This health initiative aimed to ensure that every learner comes to school well-nourished, strong, and in good physical condition—ready to face the challenges of learning and growth.

The school firmly believes that a child’s success is not measured by knowledge alone, but also by the development of a healthy body and mind. With physical wellness comes mental alertness, and with both, learners are better prepared to achieve their full potential.

Parents and pupils alike are encouraged to continue supporting the Department of Education’s health programs. Through collective effort, PCES envisions a school community that is not only smart and skilled, but also vibrant, healthy, and joyful.

From Vision to Action: PCES Starts Strong with Project ARAL
(September 5, 2025)

To ensure the proper implementation of Project ARAL, with the assistance of the Pura District Nurses under the leadership of Dr. Gemma Rosario, vision screening was conducted among the pupils. The results of this assessment will serve as the basis for the programs and activities of Project ARAL for the learners.

PCES extends its heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated and supportive Pura District Nurses, Nurse Jayson Tadeo and Nurse Zoilo Pagdanganan, for the successful conduct of the Vision Screening for the pupils of PCES.
